KBS max was by far the most popular iron shaft I fitting for feel, height, looks and overall performance, MMT being a close second

MMT was the best fit for my swing. Axiom was also really good with smoother feel than the MMT. Why no LAGP L-Series?

I love my UST Recoil 95 iron shafts. Great feel, predictable distances, very workable, and I'm able to flight my iron shots with ease at my windy home course.

Mitsubishi MMT 125tx for me. Coming from project x rifle 6.0. I have gained some height and 3-5 yards carry with each club. I play college golf and have had some back issues but didn’t want to stop hitting as many balls as I do and graphite has allowed me to do that pain free! Can’t see myself switching back to steel.

This is a really tough category given so many options, 95% not even available to hit at closest GT. Have played older Recoils, MMT & now Steelfibre but never comparing side by side so can’t honestly pick a “best”, maybe a favourite.

So many options in this list, would really like to try the Axiom although too expensive for me and the UST Darts vs. the MMT 95’s and the Steelfibre 95S I play today.

Axiom 105X have been absolutely phenomenal for me since I was lucky enough to go on the @Fujikura Golf/GolfWRX members’ trip. Smooth and a great, mid-high ball flight, and less curve than I’ve seen on my irons previously — something others who went on that trip have noticed as well, as you’ll see in our thread about it. They’re easily my vote here.

Others I’ve hit before are Recoil Dart 105, MMT 105 and 125 and Steelfiber i110 and FC 115. My second-favorite would be the Darts, which are smooth too but maybe a softer handle than Axiom. But I believe the Axioms will be in my irons for a long, long time.

Same thoughts as @eric61. I’ve played them all, Recoil, Steelfiber, MMT, and hands down the Axiom is the best. Better feel, more ball speed, tighter dispersion.

Mitsubishi Tensei IR White (85 Stiff). Smooth, with the right kick for my tempo, stable enough. They just feel good. Can handle a sweeping draw swing or a steep fade swing. Spin is good. One drawback to this vs a heavier steel shaft for me is that it's not as good on a controlled low punch out nor on a bump and run around the green.

MMT is also good.

Would like to try Axiom and Accra offerings.
