Vice drip visibility

Hawkins

Recommended Posts

For those that have played one of the Vice balls “drip”, how visible are they in the rough?  I think they look great in person, but wonder if the drip pattern would hide their outline in the rough even more?  Especially this time of year with clover in some of the uncut areas. I do t like the neon green color, and likewise have a really hard time with red balls in green grass. Appreciate if you could share your experiences,

I had a few dozen of them as my fall/winter balls, and I really liked them, the only issue is they essentially look like a dirty ball when you're driving up towards them.  You pull a new one out of the sleeve and drive up and see a dirty old ball and think "thats not my ball" , well pump your breaks there fella.

My cousin plays the Vice Pro drip balls.  They look like dirty balls out in the wild and aren't the easiest to spot.  They look cool in person though.  If you're in the rough often, I would suggest going with the lime green, red or shade colors.

I have a few dozen red and blue drip.  They just appear white on course.  I really like playing Vice Pro.  I wouldn't get the red and blue drip but am open to the neon drip.  That being said I have some neon green that are easier to pick up.  Heard the orange shade is the easiest to see.  I would imagine the neon drip may be better than the red and blue.

I have the Pro Plus shade and they are by far the easiest balls to see.  FYI, my prescription is -11 so I'm legally blind and even I can spot these from a mile away.

Good to know!  I'm dealing with an eye issue right now where my right eye has constant sun blindness.  I have a difficult time to even follow the ball after I hit it right now.....

Anything not all white is kinda hard to see..Our brain is trained that golf balls are white..I have a personal  driving range that I’ll hit about 100 or so balls  daily and when I pick those up at the end of the day it always seems the colored balls are the last I find

LOL guess I'm opposite

play yellow prov1 and lime vice pro

can't see white balls worth beans......

Im very dependent on the rough on our course.  White is easiest under normal conditions but this time of year the white clover makes finding balls a lot more difficult so im looking to switch up. Played the local par 3 today and they had three vice balls for sale in the used ball bin. I got to try our the shade, lime green and lime green drip!  I like all 3, but agree that the drip just looks like another white ball from a distance. Tge shade and line green were easily visible (but its a par 3 so not like i was hitting them far off the fairway!)

One of my playing partners had a dozen. Very hard to see in the rough.

Pro Plus Shade player here. Brightest ball out there, especially in the morning.

I played one recently that I found. I couldn't bring myself to buy them. But the pattern is so small that I didn't even notice it unless I was standing over the ball. From a distance it looks just like a white golf ball. I'd play them!

Agree with this… basically a white ball from a visibility standpoint.  That said, I like them, but not for the price they are asking.

The mix and match special for Vice Pro, Pro Soft and Pro Plus price if you buy 5 dozen is 29.99/doz.  Not bad for a ball that equals the PV-1.  At least twice a year they have the 5+1 deal.  You buy 5 dozen and they give one for free.  That's the deal I bought mine on.  It comes out to $25/doz or $28/doz with tax and shipping.  A 3 pc CAST URETHANE ball that performs equal to the PV-1 which sells at $50-$55/doz.  I think the price is pretty good whether you get the white, solid color, drip or shade they are the same ball.

I second the opinions about them bei g a little hard to spot, and that they resemble a dirty ball.
The Lime Green ones are great. But the Drip pattern looks awesome.

I was able to buy two dozen while out of town on vacation.  Neon lime and orange shade.  Chipped with the shade ones last night and they are visible (easy to find in the green side rough) but I think they are ugly…looks like an orange ball that sat in the lake for a few weeks!  Agree the Vice pro is indistinguishable from a Pro V1 (at least to me).
