I’ll give everyone a friendly heads up regarding the insert:  be careful with the Velcro on the headcovers.  When I use a Scotty cover, I make sure to open it wide enough to take it off without brushing the insert.  The Velcro will scratch that insert if you aren’t careful.  Most of the time, I use a magnetic cover from one of my home clubs to avoid the problem.

 

On the positive side, these inserts feel great, I’ve got a CC Flowback 1.5 and a NP2 T22 in my gamer rotation.  Once the insert develops a patina, it looks really cool.  I use brasso to restore the shine if needed, but the patina looks great.

 

If anyone is looking for a sole protector, amazon has a 3M clear Mylar used for auto paint protection that works great and is easy to cut.  On my Flowback, I removed the sole plate and used that as a template to trace the outline on the paper backing then cut with scissors.  You can also peel off what is shipped with the putter to size it.  My NP2+ and NP1.5+ are going to get this treatment pretty soon when I get the time.

 

These are great putters that are currently underrated, I’m sure that will change with time.

Ordered my NP1 yesterday and it’s out for delivery today. Look forward to trying it.

Definitely looks better in person.. still don’t think it will unseat my gamer so I probably will just return it. It’s too bad they didn’t try and do something a little more unique. Definitely better than a lot of the general feedback though on here.

 

EDIT: the more I putt with it the more I kinda like it.. I love the slightly bigger headshape as I putt claw… just a bit more frame to it. It’s definitely got me teetering but if you like the NP+ style don’t sleep on it. 
 

Added photos vs gamer … now to decide 🤔

Has anybody put a BGT stability on theirs? Really loving the NP2.5+ - super wide flange and feels great. Wondering if putting a BGT on it gets it to gamer status...

You let the insert patina and then the brasso takes it back to more original looking? Or you continuously use brasso to stop the insert from patinaing? Not sure if I should be treating this insert or just let it ride. 
 

I absolutely love the look of the bigger blade in the + models. It’s a game changer for me and it feels so much more stable and now a regular blade looks so unforgiving for me!

By the numbers it’s not much more stable.  If it feels stable in your mind that’s all that matters

I agree coming from a traditional NP to a NP+ it’s not (by the numbers) that much more stable, but I do find visually it’s a bit more appealing. I putt claw and sometimes can get a bit loopy when I putt and this is just enough to help me feel like it reduces it. Golf is a mental game!

Ended up getting 2 of these  in LH 1 from golf galaxy and 1 from my club(which for some reason charged me $800)! 

I am gonna sell the 35” lefty if anyone is interested.

Stability Tour 2pc, with black ceramic tip.  The Newport 1.5+ has a .390 diameter tipped shaft that goes over the hosel, so I wasn't able to go with the Stability "one" shaft.  Zenergy tour 3.0 17" grip. Plays 38".  If I don't like it, I'll cut it down to 34" and put the original grip on.

Looks great. Thought about going white for mine-how do you like the feel of it? Does it mute the insert any? I really like the feel of it currently and dont want to make it where its completely gone.

yeah i don't think it's going to make a difference.  .390 - .400.

 

inner diameter was .35 on the scotty cameron shaft.

i can't say yet, haven't gotten a chance to play with the new shaft.  I'll keep ya posted when i do tho.

Btw if anyone doesn’t have brasso to hand ketchup also works to remove the patina. I’ve used it on my t22 before and it took it back to the og finish. Just makes it smell a bit whilst you use it 🤣.

I couldnt grab a 34 so I cut my 35 down added lead tape n Im off n running.  The Newport + is my new 

gamer absolutely love it.

Yah I’m in the same boat. I could only get a 35. I’ll swap out the shaft and weights though.  Probably get it repainted too.

Im used to tape on the bottom of the sole.  And I didnt want to deal w 

heating up the weights.  Good Luck with your change.

I was able to grab the last NP2+ around me.  I really like that design.  I have one in Jet Set too, but the copper feels and sounds so much better.

I was pretty underwhelmed with the copper insert. For whatever reason, my special select feels much softer and it isn't even close. If anyone is looking for a 34" 1.5 let me know.

Same.  I snagged a NP 2+ from Golf Galaxy over the weekend, was delivered yesterday.  Hitting some putts on my putting mat the feel isn't much different than my Super Select and actually I think the Super feels a little better.  Both NP 2+ for what its worth. 

 

Debating on holding on to it or just returning...IDK yet
