It’s not exactly a cheap item I would have sent it back. 
 

But as long as you’re happy all good, enjoy the putter. I’m having a good round with it today.

One has a face insert that is not flush on the toe. This may be fixed with tightening of the screw on the back but I currently do not have the correct HEX head to do so.

The other one had bubbled silicon around the insert which caused me to immediately pull all the silicon out and re-caulk it. (first time doing this personally but was not hard at all)

 

Also, both sticks came very dirt and one even had a nick on the heel.. And dont get me started on the paint fill...it's all over the place. 

Additionally, I have never owned a copper insert putter before so maybe I am being picky but the insert is also showing some less than appealing blemishes. 

Lastly, I am not concerned about this as I plan to game it but the headcovers all came in smooshed and creased like no ones business.

 

I would not like this on an OTR SC but for a $600-$700 "limited release" this is kind of sad. 

My sticker was scuffed on the shaft but I removed it.

Rest no problem.

also replaced the grip and added lead tape so I cannot tell

if the bottom has issues.

Just picked up my 2 plus. Planning to kick out my studio select Newport 2 and game it. I’ve only rolled it on my mat but I’m really liking how it sets up to the ball and it feels a little easier to get a consistent stroke. I wasn’t sure about the blue alignment line, but with the dark line I draw on my ball I think it works better than a white line. 
 

First time owning an insert Scotty so jury is still on the feel and sound compared to a solid steel putter.

Received my 2.5+ yesterday (lefty limited options). 
 

One poster mentioned this earlier; but compared to my NP2 Button Back (champions choice) and Timeless Button Back (Gallery) the insert of the 2.5+ is really close to being smooth. The milling looks great and is a very visible feature but it’s actually incredibly faint when you feel it. I think this is a good pairing because the “+” models can feel softer with the higher moi construction so this adds some feel/firmness back in the putter. 
 

I use a 35” and swapped the weights from 2x10 up to 2x15. Pulled the Pistolini Plus in favor of a Pistolero.

Picked up two from TGW. One came today with garbage quality specific to the insert. I took the plastic protector off a bit to see if that was cussing the weird indents but it was in the actual insert. Sending this one back. Hope the Newport that comes tomorrow is better quality.

Both of mine were from TGW as well. Seems like they got the bottom of the barrel or maybe something else... LOL

Used mine today for the first time. Loved the feel of it. But kind of sad second hole had a bunch of scratches on the face. Going to get a lot more of these scratches but was kind of dissapointed because i think they come from the velcro of the headcover. Also it was kind of raining and the sand from a recent pitched green scratched the face on the first hole from a sandy ball as well. But anyways they are tools and are meant to be used. Loved how it putts

Put some ketchup on the insert and let it sit for a minute, then wipe off. That will remove the tarnish. But over time the face will change and have a rich patina to it. Enjoy!!

To be fair to the purchasers - these are (over)priced the same as most custom putter makers who put out a far better product - but instead you get a mass-produced product with mass-production issues. So really, they are paying more than they are getting.

Yes it immediately got darker and doesn’t look like new after a round. But that’s part of the charm of these metals I guess.

Yep that’s the fun of Teryllium. And personally I really like the feel. Here’s what I game the most the insert has a matte type look to it now.

Really digging this thing. Milling is excellent on mine. Does anyone have any suggestions for a sole protector similar to what it came with but a little more suited for longevity?

Grabbed a NP1 see how it looks in person. Worst case can just return it locally.
