Easily Titleist.  Much cleaner styling.  Cameron has gone off the rails with branding.

Has anyone seen this in left handed? I've contacted PGASS and Golfgalaxy in my area and depending on the day I get different responses. Still waiting to hear back from my club as well

Haven't seen it, but I am getting a 2.5+ in lefty. Should look identical to the retail version, just with the insert and different paintfill

Since you're in cali try calling your local golf mart, edwin watts, roger dunn, etc and see if they have any preorders for them. Thats what i did last week. 

 

Unless you were looking into checking them out in person first.

Thanks. In the past by local Roger Dunn usually gets a few of these and have been first come first served on release day. You're right I should just let my fingers do the walking first.

There used to be some with Titleist in the cavity instead of the cherry dots.  That is much better looks IMO. I’d be happy with that.

I am in same boat haven’t seen any nor can I get confirmation anyone is getting them . It’s only the 2.5 .

Just a FYI (I’m just the messenger here); I talked to some credible sources and was told pre-orders are only available for in-store pickup. Apparently, there’s restrictions on the Champions putters from SC/Titleist for online sales pre-orders and restricted to certain accounts. My local shop said today is last day for pre-orders (if they’re still available in your area) with some accounts going live for online sales tomorrow or Friday.
 

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but guessing some of the online sites may have jumped the gun here. If you did pre-orders online, they’re either going to get cancelled or you have to pick them up onsite.

Yeah I thought that was presumed as I had to physically go into the store and pre order it. They wont take any over the phone or website orders. 

 

I actually prefer it that way. There is too many instances where I preordered products on a site and get confirmation only to be cancelled days later.

Agreed, certainly sucks for those that thought they had an online preorder but an "orderly" online process (ala the Golf Galaxy Drawing you can enter through their app) and then everything else requiring you to go "in person" (whether that is first come first served in person for pre-order / launch, or just a local store drawing) does seem to be a more "fair" process.

TGW claimed a "shipped by 7/28" date which leads me to believe that they were not selling those as pre-orders. What retailers were taking pre-orders?
Luckily my local club got an allocation for me as a backup.

 Update: speaking with TGW now, for my 34" NP+, the customer service is claiming that only 11 people ordered that spec. but they are only being allocated 10 from Titleist so one person will be left out. TGW takes delivery on 7/28 and they will do their own QC and re-pack for shipping to final customer. Estimated ship date is 8/17 but likely sooner.

My local shop in San Diego. Its golf mart which is affiliated or as the equivalent to edwin watts, roger dunn, golfers wearhouse, etc. The manager who rang me up told me he is expecting to receive their allocations of the models on 7/27 for me to pick up 7/28. This store always gets the most allocations of scotties since its the biggest in the region so I trust his word saying that this was the most likely scenrio.

Nice that they took pre-orders like that.

 

Local Roger Dunn by me (in LA area) was making an interest list (had to come in person to get on it). They said they were expecting to get about 14 putters and that they would randomize the list and on Friday morning start calling people and letting them pick models until they were gone (and then have to come in person over the weekend to pay/pickup, and if you don't they'll keep going down the list). 

 

When I signed up there were about 25 people on the list so 50%ish chance to get one but not sure what. Hoping for a 1.5+ (and that the 1 models will be less popular than the 2s).

I pre-ordered mine (34” RH Newport 2+) this morning at a local golf store chain (they have 5 stores total). I went in again this afternoon to pick up some accessories and talk to one of the guys there). He said they just received their shipments in today including mine, but couldn’t release it to me until Friday morning 7/28, but he said they look really sick! He said Titleist is really strict and stern on their release and order instructions for these putters. He said the stores received a total of about 40 putters with almost all of them sold via pre-orders.
 

Good to know they at least have my putter onsite ☺️

what’s the golf galaxy drawing ? I was planning to go to golf galaxy Friday morning as that’s what they told me to do .

so I see the pending charges fell off my card from TGW. So are our orders just not being filled?

IDK. As I said in my previous post, sounds like online retailers jumped the gun. They weren’t supposed to offer pre-orders for online sales and I’m sure sites like TGW got their hand slapped by Titleist. Per my sources, pre-orders were only supposed to be for in-store pickup. Will be curious to if or how many here did an online pre-order and received their putter shipped out.

I agree also.  Major championship winner releases makes sense.  The TW.  The Ben Curtis. The DD.

I don’t think this is the case. I think it’s pending at time of order to make sure the card is valid and can handle the amount. The charge is then cancelled when they update the status to back ordered and then they’ll charge the card once they ship it out. I am confident the TGW orders will be without issue after hearing other user’s conversations with them. I don’t even think they have a physical store any more to allow for in person pickups so titleist wouldn’t give them allocation with that as a requirement.

Yeah I am hoping this is correct. I do see my pending charges have been dropped as well. But from what TGW support told me yday, 11 orders were accepted for the 34" NP2 but they are only going to receive 10 of them. I also ordered a 35" NP(1) and TGW advised that 15 orders we accepted for that spec. with TGW getting an allocation of 15 so all of those should go through. 

 

Most important info she told me was that if you received an order # then your order was accepted but it appears they may have accepted slightly more orders than allocated putters. I still feel good about my chances.
