How are these 4 courses in Ireland when it comes to walking

Hi all,

Heading to Dublin in 3 weeks with a buddy and our wives and we're playing 4 rounds of golf. We golf alot but typically we use a cart (buggy), which to my knowledge they don't have alot of over at the Ireland courses. I walk 18 from time to time, but I'm just trying to get a feel for what the walks on these courese are like...........

K Club Resort

Royal Dublin

You'll really enjoy that line-up. Royal Dublin & Portmarnock will be your easiest walks. Rent a trolley and that'll save your back. K Club has buggies, so you could have a reprieve there. The Island is more akin to the courses in the west of Ireland, but I still don't think it would be as tough as a Carne, Enniscrone or Ballybunion. Some of the others could comment on that.

I was in Ireland in April and played all of those courses.

The K Club will be the hardest walk because there are a few holes with fairly long green to next tee walks. As mentioned above they have buggies so that shouldn't be an issue.

The others are all what I would characterize as easy walks.

All easy walks. The Island, Portmarnock, and Royal Dublin are all pretty flat. K Club is a bit more undulating but still very walkable, or they have carts if you want.

If you are looking at maybe “sneaking” in a round or two late in the afternoon, Corballis is right next to The Island and is a Par 68 that’s tons of fun to play and only $40. St. Margaret’s is another great one in NW Dublin for $50.
