I must admit that I only watched the 4th quarter of the NFC game.  I instead flipped between my beloved Canadiens getting humiliated 9-4 by the hated Bruins on the NHL Network and on the ACC Network my Duke Blue Devils being upset at Cameron by the lowly Pitt Panthers.  Not a great sports night for your boy...at least the Pack covered and I went 2-2 on the day.

I feel fortunate to have gone 1-3 yesterday. If the Houston K hadn’t missed a FG, I would have gone 0-4. I really thought the Texans were going to cover, especially after the 1st half. 
 

Once I saw the rain I SF, I thought about switching my Over to Under, but was too lazy to go get my iPad off the charger. I thought Green Bay outplayed San Francisco - great game! I didn’t give the Pack the credit they deserved. I thought that since Dallas is the reality show of the NFL, Green Bay’s win there wasn’t a real test. I was wrong - Love is the real deal. 

 

NFC Central is going to be stacked for the foreseeable future. Green Bay and Detroit are young and strong, both with good lines on offense and defense. Chicago should be getting CW and already has a good defense. How quickly things change!

 

Gotta have the DIP today! Go Lions!

... I know he is a rookie and prone to rookie mistakes but the tell tell sign of a franchise QB is not trying to force things in the 4th qt. Love failed that test but again, this is his first year and unfortunately for Da Bearz fans, he is looking very good. 🙄

I'm certain you, as the resident NFL QB guru, know he's not truly a "rookie" as it's his 4th year in the NFL but I agree that Bear (and all NFC!) fans should worry about what the Pack might have for the next few seasons.

Yep, 2 bad interceptions in the 4th, especially the last one - absolutely awful. But they shouldn’t have been in that situation. GB left at least 6 points on the field and probably 10. They rushed that 4th down QB sneak and later had that missed FG. SF should feel fortunate - they were outplayed.
 

And what is it about GB’s scheme that gets WRs so open? It happened all game last week and several times against SF. I mean, no defender even in the picture.

I do think there is great value to under studying a franchise Qb and it certainly gives him an advantage as a 4th year redshirt rookie, but I think there is just no substitution for actually playing games. No different than a college QB not starting til their Jr year after redshirting as a freshman and it being their 4th year. In that regard I consider him a "seasoned" rookie but a rookie non the less and throws across his body, late over the middle is something you just have to experience to really learn from. I just don't think you can simulate or learn some things from others until you are actually under the pressure of a Playoff game and needing a score in the 4th qt to understand what you can and can't get away with. These are the kind of throws they were very successful doing in high school and college. But of course the NFL is just a whole 'nuther level and why selecting a Qb in the draft is so difficult. 

... I read over and over again how great Trubisky looked at practice. But unless his first read was open, he could really struggle in actual games. Fans always want the back up and it has to be very frustrating for GM's and Coaches to see your Qb dominating at practice and waiting (hoping?) they take it to the games. To a certain extent I think it is kinda like hitting the ball so well at the range and knowing the potential is there, but just not performing on the course under the pressure of having to keep score when every shot counts.

... Oh man as a Bears fan you are preachin' to the choir! That has been the pattern for the last 20 years with Bears WR's struggling for separation while Packers WR's seem to be not just open, but wide open far too many times. Gotta be the cheese. 🤪

... Great theory! I am sure Fields would have seen this wide open WR in a yellow helmet since he was looking in that direction but just couldn't see that wide open orange helmet. (he got sacked on this play) I also think a BIG yellow circle could really help him with his new team. 🤪

Based on the contract he signed, he will be on the #1 broadcast starting next season.  You ain’t paying Tommy $300M+ over 10 years to not be on top team.  Right know that is Kevin Burhardt and Greg Olsen.  Not sure if Greg will be bumped down or be allowed to leave.

... If he didn't talk down to the audience it might not be as bad. And on top of that, he states the obvious. It takes a special non-talent to do that. I think Romo talks too much as well but sounds like a combination of a knowledgable ex NFL QB and your best friend just BS'ing. He just seems like a football fan.

Man, I hated seeing that late TD by the Bucs. My Under was hanging on by 1/2 point! Good thing the DIP came through. That was the one pick I felt good about, but it was closer than I thought it would be. Assuming SF can play a better game, they should easily handle the Lions, but I'd much prefer to see some Motor City madness Super Bowl action. 

 

If Deebo can play, my guess is the line will be around 7 or 8.
