I think MaHomes is in the GOAT discussion once again.
His record in post season is unreal. But you have to be able to run the ball.
Pachecho was a big factor in the second half. Cook was in the first half.
The ability to make a play when you need it.
Injuries ruined the Bills chances though

I don’t regret picking them. Josh Allen played incredible.

Apologies my friend, I try to keep it small but I need to see what I am typing myself. Is it more the issue of the color or size? I did not mean to bring any trouble or harm into the group. I feel like I sense a bit of anger in that response. I apologize again my friend, you put on a great fun contest here and just because I have not done as well as you on my picks I assure you I am trying my best if the issue is my lack of wins.

If I am not doing something correctly please just let me know and I will do what I can to appease the group while also still being able to see what I can type. On my computer, everything looks legible to me but again, I could be doing something wrong.

Well, I am starting to get re-acclimated to the chilly weather here in the Rocky Mountains. Picked up a club for the first time in a couple of weeks, dove back into my fitness junk, and it just feels like I never took a vacation. If that is the case, then it is time for the picks:

KC is known for BBQ and nothing else. The rise of the Kelce/Mahomes bromance with a sprinkle of Taylor makes me want to root against them. Clearly Jason Kelce was the son who got the personality. I still remember the cringe-y post SB rant of Travis. Then you got Jason shooting out of a bowling ball, shirtless in the stands and lifting up a little girl to see her idol TayTay. Meanwhile, Travis just preens around like a peacock. No thank you. Baltimore is known for crabcakes and crime, and in the right circles, a horrible education system. Is there a connection between crime and poor education? That's a 10-4 good buddy. What they don't have is the murderer roaming the middle of the defense, T-Sizzle, or Ed Reed (whom I very much respected). Given the pedigree of Mahomes and his poorly fitting bucket and the unproven nature of the Baltimore QB (his name escapes me), I have to take the Chiefs in this one. The over/under feels low given the offenses, so I will take the OVER.

Motown meets the drug culture in this clash of the titans. Marvin Gaye sitting on the dock in the bay has a more level feel than Ken Kesey getting on the bus for a smooth LSD ride. Aretha Franklin never played on Playboy Up all Night, and if she had, I bet they wouldn't have dosed the coffee and then gone into a righteous St Stephen. But if you reflect on St Stephen, one man gathers what another man spills. Brock Purdy was the spillage and the Niners collected it. They have something special going on out there, and I like the Goff kid, but even though Purdy isn't as good, I still think they eke out a win. Give me a San Francisco acid fueled low scoring affair on SF bay, but, I think the Lions cover. If the game goes over, I don't think the Stooges cover, so I am picking the unheralded MC5 to cover ergo, UNDER.

And there you have it. MTV says Too Much is Never Enough, P3P says, "Too little, too late."

Conference Championship Weekend - the best weekend of the NFL season!

Niners -6.5 over Lions / Under 51

The Lions are the feel good story of the 2023 season. Only 1 NFC Championship appearance in their history and no Super Bowl berths. As much as we like to say past history isn’t a prediction of future performance, ignoring historical context is a fool’s errand. Give me the Gold Rush over 8 Mile.

KC +3 over Baltimore / Over 44.5

Another feel good story comes to an end this weekend. Remember Lamar’s contract issues earlier this year? Not a single team tried to acquire his services. And yet here he is, as the legendary Jimmy Johnson would say, “one game away from the Super Bowl!” But he’s going up against a greatness we’re fortunate to witness in Mahomes, who is moving into GOAT territory by willing his team to success. This game could go either way, but I’m not picking against Mahomey and Reid on this stage.

... So you are saying you wouldn't want to play in a scramble providing free alcohol with Travis Kielce, Gronk and AA Rodgers? It's a violent game with plenty of less than model citizens making it past indictments to put on helmets and release their anger issues on another human being. So a silly frat boy and a self absorbed pop star is just way down my list of grievances. Like one I have on ignore in this thread, I just ignore their antics. Watching Mahomes and Kelce is just such a pure football treat and I continue to be amazed at how someone so successful and being a big boy somehow gets lost in the secondary over and over again. These two are really special, at least on the football field.

See, I just think regardless of aptitude it isn't an excuse to be a jerk or to act like he did. I agree, being good at a sport doesn't make someone a good person, but it doesn't necessarily mean you have to be a bloviating jag-off. Look at his brother, Jason is a nice guy who happens to play football and is able to relate to the "normals." And in truth, I probably wouldn't even sign up to play in a scramble with any football player... now put me in with a hockey player and I am all in, but not a professional football player.

... Right there with you. And yea that 3 some with alcohol thrown in would be a nightmare. I guess my point is yea, there is no excuse but if you are a bloviating jag-off, what you do is irrelevant as you will still be a bloviating jag-off. Whether that is the best chef in NYC, the best surgeon in LA or the best QB and TE combo in football. So it doesn't take away from my appreciation for what any of them do, it's just easy to like Mahomes and just as easy to dislike Kielce away from the actual game. And if TS had any class at all, she would shun the spotlight and stay in the background but instead seems to view KC games as one big selfie.
