BMW @ Olympia. Where do these guys stay?

Downtown? Long drive for early tee times. 
 

these guys are usually big on renting houses during the week. Not exactly a premier area for rentals. Hotels in Tinley/OP might not be up to snuff for these multi millionaires. Genuinely curious what the move is.

plenty of roadside motels available in that area.  Most of which even provide hourly rates.........or so I've heard.

It's not uncommon for players to stay a long drive from the course. When the Western Open was still in town at Cog in Lemont, players routinely stayed in Oak Brook. I saw many courtesy cars at The Drake in OB. I drove next to Phil Mickelson once and David Toms another time down Rt 83 back when the Buick courtesy cars were a thing.

 

Olympia also has some housing on property but I'm sure it's not enough.

Players stay in Oak Brook as well for events that are hosted at Medinah.

 

My guess is that players in town for the BMW are in Oak Brook.

For the Ryder Cup they were at the Westin in Lombard just outside Yorktown mall. I know someone who was in the parking garage trying to get a look at what cars they were driving before security kicked him out. Several of his friends were bowling at Lucky Strike (now closed) in Yorktown when DJ and Paulina and others walked in to play.

 

I remember a few years back Phil was staying at Eaglewood (formerly Nordic Hills), when they either had a fire or a fire alarm, leaving Phil without access to his room for a while.

Yeah, I should have said Oak Brook area. Basically in hotels close to the mall.

 

Phil should have played Eaglewood when he got locked out.

Correct on Phil.  I live in Medinah, walking distance from the course.  Many of the golfers rent the houses over here for a week.  It is a very lucrative option for homeowners who don't mind taking a vacation or going to their second home.  I don't want to share numbers but DJ stayed at a house of my neighbor's friends, it was eye popping what they pay.  I walked to the BMW a couple of times and you could tell which houses golfers stayed at just by the cars or extra security.
