What are the highest Launching Players or Players Distance Irons you can buy off the Rack?

Titleist Tsr1 hybrid 19*

           505u 4 iron 22* -> 23*

           T350 6 iron 26* -> 27*

           T350 7 iron 29* -> 31*

           T200 8 iron 34.5* -> 35*

           T200 9 iron 38.5* -> 39*

           T200 PW 43* -> 44*

           T200 GW 48* -> 49*

This is the setup I would recommend paired up with a lighter graphite shaft. I would bend the irons a little weaker in spots to clean up the gapping and should help a little with ball flight.

NO club will "fix" a low ball flight.  Clubs can help, but loft is the way to increase launch the most.  You may have a spin problem too, so going to T200, or other flex face irons won't really help for holding greens.

I still swing driver around 114 mph but have a slightly lowish ball flight.  I just graduated to a 4 hybrid, and had been playing a 5 wood anyway.

Sure a low CoG can affect launch, but the body of an iron isn't big enough to really move it a long way back or low to increase it by a lot, unless you go to giant irons.  Believe me, between physics and trying EVERY club out there it just isn't going to help a ton and loft is the way to move launch higher and flex face irons remove spin if that is a problem for you, which it is for many low launch players, but not all.

I am playing the Cobra Tour and between weakening the lofts a smidge for launch, and MPH ball speed separation (for gapping) and the Axiom 105 shafts I am playing they launch relatively high, but not but some huge amount.  My peak height with a 7 iron only moved 10 feet higher from my previous irons, and I was able to keep my spin with a 7 iron around 6600.

This is a good idea. Amt red or graphite will help for sure. Prov1x launches higher.

This just isn't true .....I played T100 and Mizuno 223s with same shaft and lofts as my i230s yet never could get the same window as my i230s....these have been a godsend for a slower, low launching long iron lover !!!

I agree.  It's shocking how low i hit certain clubs / brands, yet others launch perfectly for me.  I just placed an order for a ping combo set that includes i230's.  It absolutely came down to launch / total height and spin.  There was a good 30 plus feet of height difference between T150's and T200's vs ping i230.  Same shaft and a large sample size.

Physics disagrees with you.  They may be heavier, longer, or something different has changed your delivery.  YOUR delivery, no two people respond the same way to stimuli in a golf swing.

From a pure physics standpoint, the T100 does not have a flexible face, neither does the i230.  However the i230 has a higher CoG and just a smidge farther back RCoG.  Sorry, from a physics standpoint the T100 would launch a smidge higher.  Now the i230 might produce more spin for you which has a side effect of increasing peak height, but unless you have numbers from a launch monitor, you will not be able to tell actual launch height.  Also I know you said same loft, but who bent them?  How were they checked?  I mean I know for a fact one PGA Tour SuperStore near me, their Loft and Lie machines reach 2* off from each other.

My lofts have all been checked and T100 launches lower on a monitor than my i230 in the same shaft .....sue me , I'm an aberration but yeah .....I will still disagree with your assessment.... it MIGHT be the spin component but definitely higher with i230.....but I digress to your knowledge of science

I played a set of power specd ping i210 (32 degree 7 iron) for two seasons.  They apexed absurdly high - 140 ft at times and spin high.

my normal ball flight with most players cb is 120ft.  A muscle back will generally keep it under that unless I hit a fade.

I did read a qoute from a ping employee stating the reason hovland has kept the i210 in his bag is that iron launch high and spins a lot.  Both things Viktor needs.

Ping G430 HL with a pro v1x is going to be about the highest launching combo until you get into hybrid sets. Personally, I would go to a good fitter that is brand agnostic and ask to include the ball as part of the fitting. It could be something like turf interaction or some other often overlooked detail that is causing your issues. There are many people out there who hit the wide sole SGI irons lower due to the larger amount of bounce not working with shallow AoA. I have a couple of friends that tried hybrid sets and hit them lower due to this and had to go back to a normal GI iron set. In a lab, that would not make sense, but we dont play the game in a lab. None of us can tell you on a forum what the best set up is, but a well qualified fitter can get you pretty darn close. Even if it costs some money, it is cheaper than buying 4 different sets in search of your personal holy grail.

Wow thanks for the replies.  I can tell I’m not the only “approaching” senior years that can still ball, but in that need distance but need stopping situation.

ya I agree, not the clubs.  100 percent. Lots of things I can do to help. Stretch, speed drills, diet, lift, lessons focused on speed..  yada yada.

this topic I was just asking for suggestions equipment wise.

funny you say about the Jpx 923 hot metal HL.  I just received a set to try.  The heads and offset are massive though so not sure….

      Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
