Best Mainstream Brand Rain Gear

So I have quite a bit of gift card credit to a few local courses and I know there have been a lot of topics on rain gear and while I want to get KJUS or Galvin Green, none of them carry either brand. They all carry mainstream brands like Adidas, Nike, Footjoy, etc. I am looking to try and get some rain gear that will last and not be enormous. I would like something that is athletic or slimmer fitting since I am a smaller guy. I also need a shorter inseam or the ability to have them hemmed. 

 

Any and all recommendations are welcome

Of the brands you mentioned they carry, FJ would be your best option. However, the best rain gear out there is Proquip. It’s the ONLY rain gear that offers a lifetime warranty but still very reasonably priced.

I like Footjoy, ProQuip, Zero Restriction and SunIce.  Fully satisfied with their products.  Actually picked up some really great Open Championship logoed ProQuip raingear   at the shop on the Open website.(tip, sale prices for gear logoed for previous years Opens).

I have FJ hydrolite jacket and trousers, very light and waterproof and most importantly breathes well.

I have several pieces of Zero Restriction raingear and all have performed well. Some is about 15 years old (all Goretex) and is the older style with the pleats in the shoulders to avoid binding. Not stylish but keeps me dry. My newer ZR gear (both Goretex and non-Goretex) is made with a stretchable material thus doing away with the pleats. Both of the materials are rated at 20,000 water resistance. I have a few pieces of Sunice Goretex gear that works but Is thicker and less flexible than the ZR stuff.
