Weekend Golf Trips from Phoenix

I am looking for some new ideas for golf weekend trips from Phoenix.  So far, I have done Northern Arizona, Tucson/Southern Arizona, Las Vegas, San Diego, and Puerto Penasco. I'd prefer to drive, but a short flight won't be disqualifying if the golf is good.  I like courses that tend to play firm, but that may be asking for too much.

Palm Springs, Mesquite, Laughlin/Bullhead City, Inland Empire area of CA are a few I've done. The thing about wanting courses that play firm is probably more dependent on the time of year/weather than anything else in these locations. I'm usually just looking to play something new to me, not a mind-blowing golf architecture experience.

I like all of the suggestions above.  Especially the NM and St George.  They are solid options, especially if you can get on Weiskopfs Black Desert course.  I have another recommendation that is an easy and cheapish getaway.  Omaha.  2 hour  cheap flight with an easy airport.  Rental car needed, but you can play Tatanka (definitely worth the drive) Landmand (you will need to plan way ahead as tee times open up for the year in late December, and they sell out fast) then in Omaha hit Bent Tree (cheap and really good) Indian Creek not as good and not as cheap, but still solid).  Dormie Network has Arbor Links if you have any connections there, and Lost Rail is really really good but private.  Landmand is worth playing three days in a row, and plays fast and firm.  It is unreal and so much fun.
