which model? I bought the Kjus Pike jacket a few months ago but haven't had a chance to wear it on the course yet.

I literally have 2 full closets full of winter golf stuff (mainly use golf association winnings in pro shop on winter golf clothing since i have all the clubs and shoes i would want). Thus far this winter my winter rounds have been more than comfy in 33 to 44 degree temps using a FJ Thermoseries base layer (I like it because it's not clingy), a polo shirt, a KJUS Radiation vest and a KJUS Radiation jacket. I generally keep a Hot Hand packet in each jacket pocket. I typically discard the jacket after about the 4th hole when the sun comes up. I am truly amazed at how such lightweight clothing can be as warm as the Radiation vest and jacket, even in cold windy days with no sun, and the amount of stretch is incredible. Gone are the days when I used to have to wear the big bulky jackets that kept me warm but made me feel like the Michelin man. It also finally explains to me why I could no longer find Windlite sweaters because this new era of light weight vests and jackets provide the same amount of warmth and wind protection as the Windlite, but are much lighter and easier to swing in.

The KJUS stuff is not cheap. There's no getting around that fact. But if you can find a piece or two on sale at a pro shop or in clearance or a last year's model at a place like TJ Maxx, Marshall's or Sierra Trading (usually in the $60 to $110 range instead of the $275+ range), I encourage you to give it try. Once I tried a couple of pieces, it has been no turning back. I'd pay the full prices now because I feel the quality, fit and function truly are that good. And, I am basically a cheapskate when it comes to wanting to part with my money and don't care about impressing anyone with a label. Just make sure you look at the website carefully because they do a good job of spelling out what the temp range should be for each of the garments. If you purchase one of their jackets or vests designed for mild temps like the Retention, then don't angry when it's not great at 33 degrees. They have a range that covers mild to cool and cool to cold and cold to very cold.
