Best extremely lightweight golf pants?

I am looking for the best lightest weight most comfortable pants that I can find. What do you guys suggest? I prefer natural fabrics or atleast blends that include mostly natural fabrics.

They aren't natural fabrics, but I've got two pairs of Adidas Climacool pants that I use in the summer when I have to play in pants. I've played in 95 degree heat in them and my legs were cool and they didn't stick.

 

In my book, it's worth it just to try a pair and see how you like them.

 

Polo and JCrew both make "summerweight" cotton chinos that are nice and very comfortable, but they're a nightmare to keep pressed.

I have every color ClimaCool pants available--they're GREAT!!! I wear pants for work, and they are perfect for the lunchtime range session.

For the money, I've actually been impressed with the Bubba Golf pants at Steve & Barry's. They're very lightweight. And they're cheap.

These aren't golf specific pants just regular chinos but I really like the RL Polo tissue chinos. I wouldn't wear them when it's cold outside because they're pretty thin.

Many retailers (Gap, Banana Republic, J.Crew, etc.) have really lightweight stuff that they release around spring. I wear stuff like that all the time. Like Sheriff said, it's definitely a nightmare to keep pressed.

 

The ClimaCool and DriFit stuff is definitely great, but when it's really hot out, I'm wearing shorts anyway. If I can get it on sale, I do, but I never pay full price for any of the "high-tech" type of stuff, I just get it discounted at the end of the season or whenever they change the styles.

 

Of course, flat-front only!

Along the thought lines of many others check out Old Navy. I'd love to have the ClimaCools, but I can get 2 pairs for the price of one and still wear shorts when truely hot.

I use a tailor in Milan.......... not a natural, but very light weight blend microfibre, baggy fit, perfect for golf and travel.

I picked these Puma pants up at the outlet not to long ago, by far they are the thinnest and most light weight pants that I have ever had. Flat front, cotton, nylon and spandex, I even wear them at the office too!

Polo Golf used to (not sure if they still do) make a style of their khaki's that were ultra paper thin, I had a few pairs when the shop I worked in sold them.

 

Again not sure if the Polo Golf line still carries them but they were great lightweight natural fiber golf pants.

Ok, since I used to be in the apparel business, I'll let all of you in on a secret. The best golf pants I have are Haggar. The trick is you must go into a shop, whether it's Polo, Gap, wherever you shop, and ask them for a 90/10 blend of polyester/rayon. They are super thin. I wear them all summer long. I even wear BLACK PANTS in 110 degree weather in TEXAS! And they are the best fitting, and most comfortable pants I have ever worn. Remember.... 90/10 or even 85/15 Poly/rayon.

I agree with the Haggar pants. They are very comfortable in cool or warm conditions, and low maintenance.

+1 on Haggar Cool 18.....you can find them in flat front or pleated, about 6 different colors...at Kohls for $20 a pair.

Zero maintenance, long lasting....and they breathe. Texas tested!!

I am surprised at how thin the adidas pants were. Not sure they would be of use in the winter though

I agree with the Adidas pants- I have the 3 stripe pants ( the version with the 3 stripes on the back belt loop not the ones with them down the side of the leg). These are great golf pants. I personally also love the Nike Dri-Fit pants. They are a poly-spandex blend and fit great. A lot of the new ones also already come with the side slit on the bottom as well which is what I like.

Just got the Adidas Climacool in the mail. Couldn't believe how lightweight they are. Can't wait to take them out to the course.

These are the lightest pair of pants I've ever warn. Very breathable. Next time you are at or passing by a Target, try them on.

I used to wear the lightweight Polo Golf ones, but got tired of how easily they wrinkled. Like I'd put them on, drive to the course, and they got completely wrinked just from sitting in the car, before I even got out on the course!

Izod makes a great lightweight pant with their XFG fabric. The Izod outlet around here sells them at $22. Best bargain I've found.
