Stitch Ultimate Garment Bag

I guess this goes here, but looking at the Stitch Golf UGB since it's 40% off right now and I have an upcoming golf trip, plus work trips. 

 

Anyone have this bag? Their thoughts? Also how many days is it good for clothing wise? Don't really want to buy it if it's only good for like 2 maybe 3 days max.

Got it for Christmas last year. As a garment bag, works great. Adding shirts and a pant or two doesn’t impact the interior space. 
 

Interior is good for 3-4 days with a shaving kit and sandal/boat shoe. Anything further would be tight if you have 4 articles per day. 
 

I do get a lot of compliments if that’s worth anything.

Good to know thanks, just deciding if I want to drop the cash on one right now or stick with my small luggage.

If its summer and your going with shorts/t shirts/polos you can pack a week probably.

 

Its the only bag i took to vegas for 3 days and had plenty of space and I always over pack going on vacation.  That was only shorts and t shirts tho.

 

Winter, prob 3 days max

I had always been curious about this bag, as well. Its dimensions appear to place it just outside of the measurements for a carry-on, although being soft sided, it probably could pass. Also curious what's the max-size suit coat that will fit in it.

It is a wonderful bag.  I use mine for 1 or 2-night stays if I am traveling for work.  I love that I am able to hang up a pair of pants, a shirt, and a blazer in the bag.  Zip it up and fill the inside with other items needed for travel.  I too get many compliments on the bag.

Yeah would be for a trip to AZ so I'd have like 1 pair of pants with me. Winter time I need a large suitcase, I hate it.

I saw that as well but on the THP forum where they have a thread there it seems like no one has had issues with it, maybe cause it's soft.

 

Also the suit size is curious as well since I'm not a small man.

That's the appeal of it for sure, just toss in like 3 polos in the hanging position, maybe 1 or 2 more I can fold then pack shorts and the rest inside. 

 

I may just hold off on it for now, just been spending too much and Stitch seems to have sales often enough but might be something I seriously consider in the future.

I use it as a carry-on bag all the time.  My sports coat size for reference is a 52L

I love this bag, but I usually only use it for a one or two night stay when I need a sport coat or suit. I’m a 46 regular, and it fits easily. 

 

It’s really well made - the material is excellent.

I found a "lightly used" one on eBay for a good price so going to see what I think of it when it arrives and when I have a trip to use it on.

Mine came in, I wasn't planning on using it for my upcoming trip. But after trying to pack my intended carry on luggage there was like no space left and I wanted to bring home a bottle of tequila or two. So this morning before work I grabbed the Stitch bag, tossed in 5 polos into the garment section (mind you I'm wearing a 2XL shirt right now), zipped it back into a duffle and yeah now I have space for my shorts, t-shirts, extra shoes and everything else and will probably have room to spare, this is kinda insane. As for the bottles I guess I'll toss them into my golf bag in a ziplock and pray for the best. 

 

My one hesitation with the bag is the zipper, it feels sturdy but doesn't glide too well so just zipping slowly.

Got back from Arizona with the bag and it was awesome, this thing is huge which is a bonus for me cause so are my clothes. I managed to stick 7 pairs of shorts and polos in here along with my socks, underwear and belts. A trip this long the shoe space would be too much but something shorter I could just stick them in the duffle.

 

I also did have to check the bag plane side on 1 leg of the trip and it survived but I wouldn't do that often only when forced by the airline, but it fit into the overhead of a Boeing 787 and 737 along with an Airbus 319 if anyone was curious. I'd assume commuter jets would be more snug but those probably see more plane side checks.

I won one 4 years ago in a golf tournament. I travel with it almost exclusively and it has held up extremely well on 3 dozen or more trips per year. Plenty of room for 3-4 golf shirts, shorts, shaving kit, and a pair of "Hey Dudes". I'll definitely buy another one when this one is done.
