Like a comfy pair of slippers. WITB version.

This 13 club, all Ping, set up makes me sleep well at night. Stress free, familiar and a bit, well, dated. I like to tinker and try / play loads of new stuff but for me to score well, I need to keep gear specs and tech far from my on course thoughts. I need old familiar slippers for happy scoring thoughts. 11 of my 13 clubs do this for me so I can take advantage of fitting and new tech for my 2 top end clubs. This bag won’t be everyone’s cuppa tea. 
 

D - G430 Max. 10.5 turned down to 9.5 and 1 flat. Alta 55S (great shaft for me as it turns out)

2H - G430. 19 turned down to 17.5. Alta 70S. Cut down 1/2 inch. 
DI - G 21 degree. Alta 70S cut down 1/2 inch 

4-L yes I said 4 all the way to L. - ISI BeNi S300 black dot. I’ll be buried with these. 
P - Karsten MyDay. Ive had this for 15 years now and have slapped lead tape on it since day1. 
 

So thank you to Karsten for giving me “comfy slipper” gamers that spread over 25 years of various tech and innovation.

Great bag.  Big fan of Ping clubs myself.  Nothing wrong those  irons, especially if you are comfortable with them.

Mine too. Toying with the idea of reshafting this off season as a 127g shaft may not be ideal anymore.

I pulled the old JZ’s out and put in a set of S300 I had lying around. Working out well. Old Pings tend to have lighter heads so the extra shaft weight adds stability for me.

Love the ISI's. Which S do you have in the bag? I like the S2 personally at 54.5 degrees.

 

I've also just been wondering why we tend to game such a big gap in shaft weight between our Irons/Wedges and our hybrids/woods. Going from 70g to 127g in your example.  

 

The MyDay / ZIng head shape is one I miss seeing in modern putter line-ups.

I go S2 and L. S2 is my 100-105 go to. Great wedge.

Great that you are a 5 HI and use exactly the clubs that are comfortable with.  I use some older Titleist irons myself.  Love them.

The Putter looks good too.  Enjoy.
