Fitville golf shoes… Don’t laugh

Recommended Posts

Was on Amazon and Fitville had a sale on their V1 shoes for $49.99. Since they market their shoes having a wider toe box and make W and XW widths I decided to try a pair and if nothing else just wear them on the range. Well, the shoes arrived today. While they might not be the most stylish, I must admit these are so much better than I thought they would be. Quality is on par with other golf shoe manufacturers and they have a VERY roomy toe box, in fact more roomy than any other golf shoe I’ve ever worn. VERY comfortable, and surprisingly more support torsionally and platform wise than I expected in a lower priced shoe. Still good cushion in the heel and toe when you walk, but not marshmallow soft where there’s no support. It’s still frozen tundra here, but just wearing them around the house and swinging in the basement they feel great and shocked at how good they fit and feel. Not sure how durable the soft spike sole will be, but at $50 a pair I would have no problem buying a new pair every year. As soon as there is a break in the weather I’ll get them out on the course. I have had tried Skechers XW shoes in the past, and these Fitville are better quality, have more support and stability, and more comfortable. I’m currently wearing New Balance Fresh Foam Contends that are very good, but these Fitvilles are even wider in the toe box and while not quite as stable they are a touch more comfortable. If you’re looking for a shoe with a wide toe box, these are a great option and at that price are a no brainer.

They fit and don’t squish my toes. I’d rather have shoes that don’t hurt my feet. I’m playing golf, not walking a modeling runway.

I didn't say that as a bad thing just shoes give off a very basic vibe, what I wear most of the time the Cuater Ringer isn't that far off of these looks wise. I held off on them forever until I tried them and well now they're my favorite. If I was in the same boat as you with an extremely wide foot I'd try anything that's comfortable.

Yeah, it just seems like toe boxes are getting more pointy on most manufacturers golf shoes now. In the past I was able to wear Nike or Adidas wide width shoes. Now I can’t even get my foot in them. I looked at Cuater online but couldn’t find them anywhere near me to try them on but I’ve heard nothing but good things about them.

They're not crazy wide but wide enough for me in the sole and toe box, sspecially when I put in a thinner insole. The Legends seems to be the only "traditional" style shoe that fits me comfortably.

I used to hate having sore feet for 2-3 days after a round of golf.

no doubt.  As far as the shoes go, I might have to pick up a pair as I have the same issues you mentioned with needing a wider toe box.

They definitely have the widest toe box of any golf shoe I’ve ever worn.

Obviously Fitville aren’t a golf company. For me that’s looking like that’s a good thing because they make really comfortable, stable shoes compared to “the golf shoe” companies. Their marketing sucks, but they’re shoes for guys who want comfortable, supportive shoes and are tired of their toes being squashed by “the golf shoe companies” these are really good. Like I said before, I’m playing golf, not walking a catwalk on Madison Ave.

I've been piling on their "golfer" as much as anyone but mean no disrespect to you or your suggestion.   As mentioned above, I have the same issue so I might have to try them out.    Problem is I want to play golf and walk the catwalk (tho not sure Madison ave is bougie enough for me).

In a perfect world we could get both. That’s why I wore Dryjoys and Classics for 3 decades, but when FJ switched lasts and sizing they are no longer an option. I’ve just accepted that nothing I like the looks of will fit me anymore so I’m having to sacrifice looks for fit.

Was finally able to get out and try the Fitville golf shoes. First, let me say these aren’t going to win any fashion contests. However, if you have wide or extra wide feet and you want a pair of golf shoes with a wide toe box, good support, good grip, and are VERY comfortable take a look at these. For the money, I don’t think you can find a better value.

Thanks.  I had never heard of Fitville but at that price, I'm willing to give them a try.  My feet are garbage after carrying a bag all those years.

The wide toe box is appealing. Are they stable in the toe area for support? Which version do you have?

They have good stability. I have the ones listed below.

4th time out with my Fitville shoes. I’m continually surprised by these shoes every time I wear them. I have FJ Flex XP, and Skechers shoes as well. These Fitville are half the price and much better shoes. For an athletic style shoe they have really good support and are much more comfortable. Yeah, they aren’t going to win any fashion awards on a catwalk, but if you have wide feet and want an inexpensive option with good support, great comfort and a nice wide toe box, give these a try. I paid $50 for mine and they will be my go to shoe if it’s sloppy or I’m walking.
