PGATSS with the mix and match system wow that is a cool setup!

Need to pay the one near me a visit.

Though much is taken much abides;
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

If you like the Mav SZ get a regular TD, not the TD M. You'll like it much more.

The Mav SZ was a low spin unforgiving launch monitor queen. If you like it and can tame it you can play anything. The new AI TD would be the perfect upgrade - more forgiveness (spin retention) across the face but still low spin - and with the right hosel settings and shaft could be a great upgrade if you like it. I mean the TD M could be a good upgrade as well, but coming from the Mav SZ I think you'll want something more neutral to fade biased and lower spin but doing further testing will confirm.

So I am following up on this to bounce some ideas off of your (and anyone else's head).

My pro was kind enough to allow me to take a TD 9* head on my vacation that I paired with my gamer Aldila Rogue White from my Mavrik.  I have it turned up to a 10* with a draw setting.

I had a great week driving the ball.  I hit 30 of 42 fairways for the week, I would guess 26 of which were with the driver.  Distance was nothing earth shattering from where I was with the SZ.  Average drive was around 285, if I flushed one I would touch just under 3 bills.  The launch was still a wee bit lower than I like.  And I just came home and went on a launch monitor to confirm, I am hovering somewhere around 10-11 launch angle on quality strikes.  I am hitting center of face more often than not, but the heel misses have been forgiving.

My only complaint is that it still feels like it wants to leak right.  I understand that it is probably my swing to a degree.  But there have been some comments on here from people that say the TD Max has a bit more of a neutral bias, as well as being easier to turn over.  Some commented the TD just has a leak right for them that wont quit, and I would agree that's how mine feels.

Am I searching for something that's not there?  Or do I just accept that I hit a bit of a cut with my driver and be done with it?  lol

Yup its a pretty strong feature of the Ai TD in that it has a strong right start line bias not so much fade bias imo. I put mine in D+1/DN as well just for start line purposes.

I dunno, maybe its me, I havent had too much time with my AI TD, but so far, in a 9 degree head set at +2 and standard lie, Im hitting my start lines with a pretty consistent 5-10 yard baby cut. Its gorgeous really.

Makes sense. I am assuming you do a pull fade of sorts right? That'll be ideal. I am mainly a drawer with a slight draw being ideal, so a right start line bias does not help me too much especially when its a right block miss lol.

Play with the weights .. and the shaft

I can now hit tight draws with the Max .. 4 in front and 14 back, I need the spin apparently

tried some diff shafts (green smoke and ZF 50tx) vs my Ventus and man if you don’t get enough spin you can hit some really wild ones

my g400 lst is def straighter but also def shorter

No, thats whats weird to me, is previous driver it was push cuts, or just a push. Path on trackman was pretty consistent about 1-3 in to out. Pop this sucker on and nothing starts right for me… who knows, it could just come down to the visuals of setup. Perhaps with the old driver I was setting up open and didn't know it.

Yeah that is interesting. Sometimes it is something anecdotal and how we all individually line up the top line face angle. Maybe I am just lining it up open on this head lol 🤷‍♂️

My experience so far as a natural draw flight player.  Neutral, I still have my draw, but can play a fade.  Weight forward made the draw more pronounced.  Draw setting neutral made it easy to draw, but brought hook back to play.  Dropped loft to 8*, and it was more prone to fades, but had a lot of straight flights.

      Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
