Saw a BST ad today showing a bunch of #9 style putters and I realized I am not alone.

so let’s see what you all have. Love me some Toe Hang.

I have a lot of these putters and will keep posting.

This one is an Odyssey #9 metal x milled HT with a custom aftermarket finish.

It’s an “automotive rainbow” finish. I had found a company on the Bay that did it for me. They were based out of North Carolina if I remember right. It’s a zero maintenance finish besides just wiping it off.

My first attempt at modifying a putter.

Changed to spryevo insert and added a KBS steel shaft.

I bought an unused one as a backup a few years ago as they're becoming hard to find given the age.

My Method 003 from The Oven.

Last time out with it took a grand total of 11 putts in 9 holes. Fair to say it is going absolutely nowhere.

I have that one too….. it’s an amazing putter. This is the only other one I have ever seen in the wild.

It was a random eBay purchase not long after Nike pulled out of hard goods - decided I wanted to try and Oven putter and was not disappointed.

I had a Scotty California Del Mar at the time which I liked, but when I tried this I was blown away. Great feel, more balanced than the Scotty and puts the best roll on the ball I've seen from any putter.

Thought I'd "ruined" it last season when I had a putting lesson, and my new set up meant it was far too short - £6 to get it extended later I'd say it's even better.

Spryeveo makes them in a bunch of different materials for several brands. Copper, aluminum,carbon fiber etc.

Tad Moore designed Olimar TM03. Milled horizontal face lines.

Feels very soft. Nice putter.

That looks like a really unique sole design. Does it have more height in the center vs the heel and toe?

Same. Love the head style but I cannot putt worth a darn (anyways) especially with that head shape.

Weirdest thing ... my stroke is SBST, and I've been fitted into a low toe hang putter - a double bend mallet. But I putt best with my #9 or an 8802.

Love the looks but don’t make enough putts with #9 style putters, so this just sits in my work shop.

That was the first #9 I ever owned, and it was a beauty ... I listed it on the bay before I received shipment. Mistakes were made.

I am the same way. Everything about my stroke says face balanced, but I putt best with extreme toe hang.

another reason fittings don’t tell the whole story.

This thread inspired me to clean up my Gambler flush putter. It had some minor scratches on the topline and flange. Used some 1500 and 4000 wet sandpaper to clean it up. I’m very happy with the results.

Current perfection for me is the Rife Abaco, refinished in matte black. I like the relatively light weight and shape. I would probably appreciate the look of less offset, but I don't think it would improve my results. An absolute deal breaker for me is that the sight line needs to be near or at least very close to the center, instead of shifted towards the heel. For this reason I have never actually owned an Odyssey No. 9, but here are some I have.

Rife Abaco

Rife Major, I like this one, but not as much as the Abaco.

Cleveland No. 2, I really like the shape and feel of this one, but the line is too close to the heel, so I've added some white tape to balance it.

Cleveland Frontline No. 2, I like that the alignment is perfectly centered. The only problem is that the neck of this putter has been impossible to bend as flat as I like (68*).
