Based on this email, I'm thinking new Vice Balls are imminent. Anyone have info?

That would make sense, the current model was introduced in 2020 and the previous version was 2016 so it seems they change models every 4 years. Will be interested to see what changes they make.

I would also expect any new version to come in at a higher price.

They raised their prices $3/dozen middle of last year. I switched back to Maxfli to save a few bucks.

I got in for the 5+1 on the Pro Plus. Great ball and works out to like $29 including tax and shipping per box. Set for the season but I'm curious what they're coming out with now because the pro and pro plus performed as well as anything out there.

I think we have until the end of this month to take advantage of the 5+1 deal, which I am seriously considering.

The current 5+1 deal from Vice, even with shipping, comes in slightly less than the 4 dozen cube of Maxfli Tour and Tour X that is $30/dozen.

Yes, but Maxfli also had some deals in the last few months, where 4 dozen were $100.

The last time I bought Vice balls during their special, I paid ~$28/dozen. I have 12 dozen Maxfli Tour I got for $25/dozen.

I'd buy, but I'm only just starting to play with their balls.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.... But I really did just buy a pack of the "shade" variety to try them out. I've not yet really found a golf ball I'd like to settle on yet, but some of that is because I'm not yet at the point where maybe it matters. Though with the softer cover I expect on a good shot it should hold the green a bit better on some of the faster ones around here.

Current Bag: Sun Mountain C-130 Inferno (Orange)

The Sledge Hammer: PXG 0311 Black Ops Tour-1 @ 6.5° - PX Gen 4 Hzrdus Black 80/TX

The Dead Blow: PXG 0311 Gen 5 @ 11.5° - PX Even Flow Riptide 80/6.5TX

The Chaser: PXG 0311 Gen 5 @ 15.5° - Project X Even Flow Riptide 85/6.5X Hybrid Shaft

The Grinders PXG 0317ST (CB 3-4 / ST 5-PW) - DG X-Seven (Still Acclimating)

The Chisels- Tom Watson 56° - 60° - DG - S-Flex (Soon to be Retired)

The Mallet: PXG BR-1 Raptor Putter

VERY TEMPTING.  Just did a ball inventory last night and still have 6 doz. unopened boxes of 2023 Vice Pro.  About 4 sleeves (2 in bag and 2 in box in house) of opened box of Vice Pro.  1 Doz. Snell MTB-X, 2 Doz. Maxfli Tour from 2022 model, 1 doz white, 1 doz yellow Ksig V3.  This is not including about the 1 doz. balls in my bag.  I think I would have to set some sheets up on the couch if 6 doz. Vice Pro show up at my door along with a $180 charge onto my CC.

Supposedly Vice is releasing all new models this year.

According to the conforming list, the dimple pattern is still 318 which is Foremost’s house pattern which is promising (given the timing of Vice’s teaser and Taylormade’s recent acquisition of Foremost, was worried that they had been forced to move to a new factory which would have meant a change to TPU).

IMHO the existing alignment aid is much better.

Totally agree. The VPP is as good of a ball all around as I’ve found, with a nearly ideal mix of price, durability, and performance (and even the looks/alignment aid). It’s excellent. I’m really afraid this will represent a step backward. It’s going to have to be such a good ball to overcome a price bump (if true) and this turrible looking alignment aid.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it…..

I've been playing Vice for 2 years now and really like this ball.  I have about 6 dozen remaining.  I've seen the price increase to a point where I'm going to go to Maxfli Tour (3 pc. cast urethane made at Foremost).  I get the $20 off $100 coupons, reward points and percentage discounts all the time.  My wife just picked me up 2 dozen yellow Maxfli Tour because she was with my daughter at DSG (All four of my kids are athletes through college.  Now they coach HS Varsity teams).  With the discounts they had I paid $25/doz. for their 2/$70 price.  The Maxfli Tour are indistinguishable from the Prov-1 in terms of performance and durability (white).  The yellow Maxfli does scuff the finish on wedge shots but doesn't mar the urethane cover, purely aesthetic.  The Maxfli Tour and Vice Pro are two of the best golf balls out there IMHO.  So if it comes down to $32/doz. for Vice Pro or $25/doz for Maxfli.....Sorry Vice, I love you but money talks and bulls**t walks.

Vice Pro in PGASS is $38/doz. BTW.

I really like the Vice balls and have about 2 1/2 dozen of the Pro Plus and almost 1 dozen of the Pro. They will last me a long time, as I rarely lose balls, and generally only take one out of play if it is badly scuffed. Like you, though, I think when these are gone I may switch to the Maxfli Tour despite ball tests saying it doesn't quite perform as well as the Vice balls for my slow swing speed.

Unfortunately, the current cultural mantra is, "If it ain't new, it IS broken!"

Fortunately, I've stocked up on enough VPs and VPPs to get me through several years at this point. I keep them in sealed totes, so I should be good to go until they release a 'new old' model in the future.

I have a driver SS of about 92-96.  I'm carrying 220-230 depending upon wind on a decent strike.  Maxfli perform fine.  My 7i SS is 78-82.  I'm not creating any wind with those Swing Speeds and I have no problem with the Maxfli performance.
