Game improvement forge iron

I currently play The mizuno 825 pro irons, which I love but havent been playing golf in last year. So, I want to look at getting a more forgiving forged iron. Doesnt have to be a new model year iron, Let me your thoughts.

I tend to think the JPX 921/923 Forged are fairly forgiving irons.  Coming from 825 pro, you might be happy wit those.

 

If you're looking for an under the radar option, the Ben Hogan Edge EX is a somewhat newer model that has a forged face and is nice and bulky.  Decent looks for its size, pretty solid feel.

Zx5 is fully forged. Zx4 has a forged face on a hollow body.

New Level 480 DB when it is released. I would be shocked if it isn't a performance winner for what you are looking for.

Depends on what you mean by forged. 
 

If you want a completely forged one-piece game improvement irons, there are a few that qualify. The Maltby TS3 and the New Level 480 DB, both mentioned above, are in that category. The New Level 902OS (now on closeout) would be another. For one piece forged irons those are about as easy to hit as it gets. 
 

A lot of these “forged” Irons being listed are multi-piece — a forged body with a thinned out steel face (milled out on its backside) that is welded to that body. They will feel and sound a little different.   OEMs fall over themselves to label pieces of irons as “forged!”

Agreed.  I wouldn't hold too much weight on the labeling of "forged" for game improvement or players distance irons.
