S300vs S300XP

Have a chance to pick up some cult classic irons TM MC 2011 4-Pw and bonus 3 and 4 iron CB 2011. All clubs currently have S300xp shafts for a real good price.

Does the XP model, from this era significantly different than the reg S300. I know they are a bit lighter. Do they kick the ball up real high?

XP was in the 120 gram range and touted as a mid launch option. From memory, they launched and spun quite a bit higher than S300 and felt softer. Definitely a different shaft.

Given the time period, my guess is that the OP is referring to either the Dynamic Gold XP or the Dynalite Gold XP. The S300 was spec’d at 116g and 117g respectively with the former essentially being a lighter DG (slightly softer as a result) and the later having a softer profile overall.

As referenced by others in this thread, S300 is a flex designation, it's not a shaft designation. Some people use the reference in terms of the standard model Dynamic Gold, though. Gotta be careful, and specific, because there are so many different shaft models in the market now.

Softer bend profile, much softer in the lower section through the tip

if its DynaLITE XP (once a Mizuno only model), .....dont.
During the time i had my Golf Studio, it was not a single player who fit to play those shafts....that bottom record is hard to beat, so i never understood that shaft at all. It was about a club shorter as average vs other models in the same wgt range, and that could have been explained if it delivered way higher dynamic loft and spin, but it did not, it was simply a dead piece of steel tube nobody liked.
