Best Grips

Seems like a good option if you don't want to use a glove.  Anyone have any experience with these?  If so, how are they?

I use them. No need for a glove. They don't wear out either.

I’ve used Grip Master grips for a couple years. Love them. No glove unless it’s high 90s and humid or a strong rain.

When I decided to try leather, I tried a couple grips from Best Grips (Microperf) and GripMaster (Roo & Master Perforated).  Liked both brands/styles, but went with Roo grips for one of my sets, along a few other random clubs here and there.

 

After a couple years, I've found the Best Grips Microperfs seem to be holding up a bit better.  Installed them on a full set of irons I built last year, like them quite a bit.

 

They're outstanding in wet conditions.  I find myself not caring if I lay them down in any morning dew, or if they get a bit wet in any precipitation.  We also get our share of humidity (Minnesota, land of 10,000 lakes), they're outstanding in that arena, also.  Simply love them.

I started with Gripmasters and moved to Best Grips soon after. Zach makes a far superior product imo. He uses a eco friendly tack compound that doesn’t need naphtha to bring back tackiness, just a simple wipe with a damp towel and they’re great. I occasionally clean them with a tiny bit of dawn and water. And while they’re more than a rubber grip they last FOREVER. I play a decent amount of golf annually, used to swap rubber grips twice a year. I’m in year 3 on these grips (on multiple sets. He recommends installing with air as opposed to tape and solvent but you can use either method). They’re just as tacky as day 1 and there’s no wear marks. I also like that the stitchback is like a built in reminder rib as well. I use them driver to putter (I have the Augusta leather micro perf) and have several of his putter grips (including an exotic or two). Great product from a great small business owner that cares about his product. His headcovers are nice as hell too

I'm definitely coming to appreciate them more as time goes on.  

 

My first Best Grips sat in my dry basement golf room for two years, untouched.  They are still surprisingly tacky.  It's what prompted me to go with them last fall for the new iron set, instead of shuffling from one of my other leather sets.

In addition to comments I've already made...

 

Pay attention to the sizing.  The Best Grips website has a number of mentions about their Pro Taper, and how it affects sizing.  I'm a Cadet Medium glove wearer, and found good results buying their undersized Microperf.  I think the Standard size would also be fine for me, but I am definitely not dissatisfied with having gone with the Undersized model.

Bestgrips has a reduced taper does it not? 
How do people find sizing compares to a Golfpride Tour Velvet Cord Midsize?

The midsize is like a midsize plus four grip. I have them on all of my clubs and swear by them. They are outstanding and Zach is amazing.

Been using Bestgrips for at least 15 years, I’ve never worn a grip out!
