Dunne wasn’t on the board of the for profit enterprise anyway, so all that was left was the policy board, which is now controlled by the players.  So, it made perfect sense to leave.  The only shocking thing in his departure is him being the first insider to admit that the Tour is nowhere with PIF on a deal and are really now only just starting the process.  So anyone expecting a quick resolution to this may have to change their expectations.  As someone else said, it may be SSG wants to slow walk things for a while and let LIV’s player contracts age a bit.  That would make sense on a number of levels.

While it’s good the players are engaged, you can’t have a league where the players run the show.  You need a strong ownership/leadership group to make decisions in the best interest of the overall league, or you’re just going to have constant debate/disagreement.

Yep, the fish always rots from the head.

Jay was never up to the standard needed for this exacting leadership role.

I think the ship is being streered away from merging and i for one support not merging. One more time .. The Saudis unless they are hiding it don't have a business model that will return capital.

Rory seems to be only guy talking that makes any sense, to try and resolve and bring golf together

Listening to Jordan Speith today was painful, he’s not the guy.  Defensive, too much word salad, comments that are non sense - players were upset with Jay doing this on his own now it’s the players, or now’s its the smartest guys in the room are deciding this.  Or now the are balancing the needs of mgmt, players, sponsors, SSG Idk ?   If I was a player, Id sure want Dunne representing me, than the investment bankers

Timing of Dunne resignation says a lot, this is best time to bury a story

Eventually, money talks. Saudi will end up stealing a lot of the best players if there is not a merger. And that's OK. At least both sides are not filing lawsuits against each other. Hopefully there won't be any more lawsuits in the future.

One thing they could do as they work on a long term deal is try a bit of collaboration and good will

PIF can agree to one year of not offering huge sign ons.

The tour can agree to do one Aramco event where the top end of tour and LIV players show up

Aramco sponsors and pays for the event. But their brand gets highlighted and the pga tour and LIV both get highlighted

The tour keeps the advertising revenue

Again they may have money but they don't have model. I refuse to believe a global tour works without evidence. 90 percent of America viewers won't stay up for the hypothetical Aussie world tour open. Liv doesn't make money!

If someone wants to go work for company b or Liv tour let them is my worldview. Its also not my view the tour sucks now. Its also not my view "everyone" would leave. My view is bold, but let Liv golf fail.

Just have to schedule it correctly. It’s currently 5:10 PM Central in the USA. It’s 7:40 AM the next day in Australia. They sort of did this with the Singapore event recently. Final round started at 8 AM in Singapore, which is 7 PM Central in the USA. Primetime golf sounds pretty good to me. Lol

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
