Need irons, have $1100 in trade ins with bonus plus Amex...why is Callaway's iron selection so bad. I'm looking for a ZX5/P790/225 category and their isn't much in their line up that compares. Apex pro are nice but at a 12 hcp probably wishful thinking for me, Smoke AI is stronger lofts and less spin than I want, Apex 21 seems too old to spend $1200 on with replacement coming in fall 🤷‍♂️

 

Maybe in need a new driver after all...

Check your "offers" in the app or logged into you account. There is a Callaway $50 off $300 offer that you have to add to "your offers". Not everyone gets the same offers so YMMV. 

 

Once you do that you just spend the money at Callaway with your Amex and the $50 comes back to you as a statement credit.

No, CPO and the main C site are different commerce stores IIRC.

The funny thing is is that it's still available on every other site.  It's for sure not sold out.

 

It's too bad they're limiting them for a trade promotion they are pushing.

Retailers like Dicks also doing the trade in promo so might be able to get the driver from there?

I like to give the benefit of the doubt, but it sure seems like something shady like this is going on.  

 

From the jump, I thought it was strange Callaway was giving "free" upgrades into a new TD Max if you already owned a Smoke so I put in an order as soon as I saw the offer.  I don't have my driver yet, but the rep assured me it was being built.   They probably never saw this type of demand for a switch.  Someone most assuredly dropped the ball on pricing and supply/demand IMO.

Yup, traded my Paradym TD 3w and Paradym 7 wood for the Smoke TD 3w and the Smoke TD 7w, only came to $80 out of pocket...great deal!!!

seems like dicks values the ai smoke driver at 244.20 while callaway has it at 300.

I'm 12 HC and been playing Mizuno 243. Head is small yet have plenty of power and forgiveness.

 

I purchased Apex Pro CB to try. Gonna trade in old T100 and couple old drivers and it's practically free upgrade.

I'm about to pull the trigger on this deal... But I still don't get this... the condition of the used clubs doesn't matter? I mean my clubs are not beat up, but there are scratches on the crown of the driver, etc.

Has anyone double dipped on this deal successfully?

I placed an order over the phone with them directly and they did all the trade in stuff with me (was super simple). He did mention they were sold out of TD Max heads when I asked.

 

I might want to take advantage of this deal again later in the month on a set of irons, but not sure if they keep track of all this stuff.

you'll be fine.  I had a club I traded in that looked like a beaver chewed the ferrule and hosel and they gave me the full trade in amount.

Swap it out and keep it, you won't get any extra credit.  

 

I've traded in wedges that have been through hell and back.  Callaway is not picky.

How did that work?  I am only seeing $120 x2 for the paradym FW, and the new AI smoke are $350.  Seems.like it would be more like $220 plus tax out of pocket.  What am I missing?

Do you mean $80 each excluding tax right? Paradym wood has $120 trade-in value x2 is $240. The difference is $110 + tax.
