ha ha, sweet dog, and nice sticks too.

Thanks, although I am really starting to like the Kbs shaft that is in the 4 iron and may be swapping out the black golds for KBS shafts.

What kind of dog is bogey? Has a little bit of a Jack Russel look.

We seriously have no idea. We are going to have the DNA test done. We have gone through so many different ideas consisting of some sort of mix of whipet, besenji, fox terrier, beagle, chihuahua or maybe all of the above, but he is definatley a mutt for sure. Thanks for adding one more to that mix lol

One_Putt... I don't see a "desert" club... You carry one???? Or, are you so good you never leak into the desert???

I am in Scottsdale or Tucson 4-6 times per year visiting family and playing golf. I bag a 15th desert club that's a old 5i setup like the rest of my irons. Don't tell anyone though.

did you reshaft the 3w yet?
No the axiv core is still sitting in the closet, I have been hitting some very good shots with the nv. Not in any hurry to change it now.

No desert club for me, not overly cautious about hitting out of the junk, most of my irons have battle scars on them now, but I do hit a lot of fairways about 78% according to the stats I have been keeping. If I can find it and its hittable I will play it out of the desert without worry for the clubs.

My irons still look pretty darn good having purchased them in 07. I hit the fairway most of the time, but there are those moments. Both my wife and I had that same line of thinking until last year when she found herself in the desert after her 2nd shot on a par 5. She pulled PW and proceeded to hit a nice shot onto the green, but now she has huge dent in the leading edge of her PW... I got to buy her new irons now. Hence we both carry desert clubs from then on. it's not worth ruining clubs IMO.

I guess I am just used to it after living here for 15 years. If its really bad then ie impending doom for the club then I just take my penalty and drop. I have also learned the Johnny Miller two grooves to low special. Hit it thin enough to not hit the ground but decent enough to get it airborne and back in play.

Did the same thing with my AP2 710, dinged the PW good in the desert.

BTW Matt from our talks, you got me thinking about moving from S flex to X flex (might help my hook). I might entertain the idea of a Diamana X flex ahina. If it doesn't work out I'm sure I can sell it to my other AZ golfing buddies...LOL

Wouldnt hurt to try it, I went to the X in the devotion because it is a little week to flex and after hitting it side by side with my Ft5 stiff whiteboard combo I was not losing any distance but the dispersion got a little better, and for the most part I eliminated the left side of the course which I liked.

Another question Matt, the X Flex Diamana Ahina 65 gram Torque is 3.0 and the 72 gram is 2.7. Does stronger 2.7 Torque come into play PROS or CONS if you fight a hook? (i.e.) would the stronger 2.7 Torque help

Sam prob a question better answered by some of the more technical guys over in the WRX shop forum,
I would assume that a heavier and lower torque shaft would be harder to load and get it to hook, but the big issue with our swing speeds and going to a heavier x flex becomes being able to load the shaft, getting the best results and distance out of it.
That was one of the reasons I went X in the oban since it plays a little week kinda like a project x 6.0 flex not quite stiff but not quite x either.
In this case I would err on the safe side and say if your going to go to an x go to the lighter version. I hit a 9015 with a 83g whiteboard x flex and I was hitting low screaming fades with like a 7* launch angle. It was not a good combo for me at all. As you have seen I can hit the same whiteboard in 63g in my old FT5 and the new oban 64g x flex just fine.

Nice setup, lovin that color scheme on the titty bag. Not sure if this was mentioned, but is there a difference (other than color) between the pink nv and the regular green one?
No difference in the performance just the color.

The more I hit it the more likely it is going to stay in there and the axiv core will be headed to the bst, pured another one yesterday leading to an eagle on the 18th

A really handsome bag.I play the same hybrids but just use the 21* to replace my 3 iron.Has worked well for me.The rattler? He and his brother would be on my feet in a nice pair of boots.Great bag though.
Thanks
I originally had the 21* 3 hybrid but found there was not much of a yardage difference between that and the 4 hybrid/now 4 iron so I traded it in for the 18* 2 hybrid and it gave me the perfect club for when I am in between 3 wood and 4 iron, I am able to control the distance on it pretty good and hit it anywhere from 200-220 yards.

RE the boots, I remember when I was going to school in Wyoming there was a guy who had a pair of boots with the rattlesnake heads on the toe in the open ready to strike position,

Sounds like a mean pair of rattlers he used for those boots.Makes perfect sense now,on the hybrids. With that little gap of yardage. You could even use that "spot" for an extra wedge if you were playing a course that would be a good swap.i used to play all the way up to the 2 iron.I still have it but wont ever use it again,I highly doubt. There were a couple of par 3's at each of the 3 courses on our Myrtle Beach annual trip. The 225-235 viriety.I carried the club just for those 5-7 holes. The Adams pro hybrid has changed all of that for me now and I thank them. They dont get nearly enough credit.Id really like to hit those irons. Here in upstate SC a lot of lies are really "tight" and off of red clay in some instances.Id have to take strokes because when I played forgings I just wouldnt play from those areas.Im hitting it a little better now. They look and feel really good in my hands. The putter is "butter" also.Very nice stick.
