PGA Tour Raw Iron & Raw Beauty Pics

I'm sure I'll be in the minority on this topic, but I don't like the look of raw irons. Raw wedges are ok, but I've really taken a liking to a satin finish since I've played with my Vokey Spin Milled 54*& 60* wedges. I'm hoping that Titleist comes out with the 660's this spring as they will replace my 670's in a heartbeat.

Couldn't agree more. Raw sets look like cr**. The sales of such sets like Clevelands sets supported that conclusion---couldn't give them away. The only thing I ever noticed over the years was with raw wedges that really rusted you could easily get the rust all over your shirts and ruin them. Never noticed any increase in spin. If I wanted an old beat up looking set I would buy a 1950s Sam Snead Blue Ridge rusty set and achieve the same look.

Yeahh i agree with that, it has it's own style of classic or maybe i just drop my club to my sea water aquarium to have the same looks :)

I on experiment of doing it now, I put my PW TM MB satin onto my sea water aquarium for almost 10 days now :blink: the sole and the groove start a little bit of rust and for sure the MB pocket at the back of club is already rust. Cause i try it on my Titleist SM wedge for 2 weeks it rust all over now and :)

For some reason, I think that the raw blades look hotter than the raw cavity back irons. They all look good, but man those blades are badass.

Satin irons reduce glare just fine, but the raw are most likely for feel and maybe visual comfort.

whose raw split cavities were those? i like the raw iron look, but i don't like the orange rust look. i prefer the dark petina color on my raw clubs. now, what would be sweet is a set of oil can irons. yeah, after the first couple of rounds, the oil can finish would be off, but before that happened it would awesome.

I just happen to have a set of those sitting around so if you ever get the urge for that old beat up look just let me know :)

I also am not a fan of raw irons, but I don't like eggnog either and they still sell lots of that every Christmas. Just goes to show you that some folks just don't give a hoot what I think.

I don't know if raw irons have any softer feel but I sure love the way they look. Guys that say its softer I often wonder what they shoot? No glare and rusty thats as pure as it gets. If raw was an option I would have all my clubs raw and rusty.
