Walk with an electric trolley or cart. Best money I've ever spent.

I carried a SM Swift X happily for years.........and this season skipped over the push cart and bought an electric trolley and absolutely loving it too. Much fresher after 18 holes, just a fantastic way to walk the course other then having a personal caddie which is the ultimate way to walk and play.

Just tried my wifes electric trolley today and loved it. My back was sore after carrying but not when riding, so this seems to be the perfect solution. Spent $800 on the thing and it wasn't getting used so why not....

I started last summer walking again here in the hot desert (of where I typically play most over 100 degrees). Courses are cheaper, then, wide open.

That's cuz I got me a Clubrunner electric trolley. It's great, frees me up to actually walk the course like a tour pro - I usually jog at the top speed as it fits in with my 23-24 miles running/week outside of golf.

Seriously guys, the results favoring carry I hope are for young cats compared to me. I can be on the Champions Tour this year, but slugging a bag over the shoulder is so unappealing to me personally. So mule like, slave like, just uuggghh!!

On TV, watching the pros, I expect caddies. Push carts would look terrible. Driving carts - I would only tolerate man evolving and golf itself with a strict 90 degrees cart path only approach if that day ever came.

In hindsight, after tooling around with the top end push carts in stores like Cliq, Sun Mtn, etc....that would have done the trick for me. I will actually try and wear out this battery powered cart the next season or two and then get one of the new push carts. I was thinking of the old cheap pull carts with very little on them when I pulled the quick trigger on the power cart first.
I carry.

If you want to save even more money, sell your bag and buy a "Sunday" bag from Cleveland, Ping or Titleist. They only run about $30-$40 and make everything extra light.

I sometimes will take a pull cart on a hilly course but usually just carry the sticks.
Not really worth it, I have a cally xxt cary bag and I think it weighs like 4 pounds, a sunday bag probably ways 2 to 3 for the pound you save its not worth sacrificing the comforts of a stand bag.

Here are some tips to lighten your bag up

Take out the rain gear

Dont carry more thant a dozen balls at a time

You dont really need a huge watter bottle, most cources have water on the tee boxes every 3 to 4 holes.

Doing those things should save 5 to 10 pounds.
A dozen? Are there golfball stealing elves that live on the course? If you need a dozen for a round, you should hit the range with your pro and skip the course.

Wanting to save a little dough.

you can post a reason and don't forget the poll.

Carry for the extra exercise and the fact that I can literally go anywhere on the course with my clubs.
I tried pushing a cart but found it annoying and frustrating in areas where there are big hills.

I use to prefer carring a bag, except in rainy weather where a push cart was more convenant to carry more gear.

Back issues converted me to fulltime pushcart.

I am cheap, so walking is prefered, I need the exercise, and I enjoy walking a course.

Whenever I rode in a cart, it always felt like I was rushing to the ball and then waiting around to hit. I will only use a riding cart when mandated by the course or tournament.

The most enjoyable round that I ever played, was with my wife at the highland course in Cape Bretton Nova Scotia. Specacular scenery, each hole was seperated from any other hole, and peaeful because there were no riding carts due to the footpaths. They have since added cart paths and carts.

BagBoy sent me replacement parts at no expense via next day FedEx more than 5 years after I bought my BagBoy Automatic pull cart. They replaced the handle, the plastic scorecard caddy, the wheel clips to hold the wheels onand some other small parts. I just called their 800 #. It finally had a major breakdown one round on #16: one axle broke / wore thru. It lasted 10 years. I now have a Sun Mountain V2. A must have for Florida summers!
I just saw the laughable debate on this thread from 2009 about whether it's unmanly to pull or push. Yeah, the first thing I do back in the clubhouse is point out the need to add strokes to your score because I pushed and you rode! Ha ha! After 30 years of service and 3 combat tours, I'm just glad to have all my original body parts. How I get around the course is my business .

I usually carry but as of late last month, I started to use my pull cart. Not going to lie...its so convenient. I've considered getting a Sunday bag for my 'high speed low drag' days when I want to play 9 or just head to the range.

44 and walked today with my neighbor who is a senior. Only walked 5 as he says he wants to slowly work up to 18 due to
having had prostate cancer, and we were waiting on the box and pushing a group of 3 in carts ahead of us.Enjoyed the
walk for sure! Looking forward to doing it more and more!

Was a carry guy for years. Bought a Clicgear. Never going back to carrying! I feel so much better at the end of 9 holes. Wish I had done this years back!

Carry like a boss.
2013 ogio recoil ( the new and improved 4x shoxx straps really improved this bag )
All 14 clubs on full 18. 5h-6-7-8-9-p-sw-putter on par 3 courses. Every club in my bag including putter has graphite shaft.
2 new sleeves and about 3 practice balls.
Misc tees and extra spikes / spike tool / 2 gloves / sharpie
Waterproof Windbreaker / golf bag rain hood
Wallet / keys / cell phone / e-cig & juice
3-9 beers depending on temp & course
21oz aluminum water bottle
Fully loaded without beer was around 24lbs beer really adds weight. Quite a bit lighter when walking a par 3 course with long irons & metals removed.

Ya there GI irons ... but I keep em clean .
