Nice tool.

How is it that the pros use tees to fix their ball marks? I can't remember the last time a PGA or LPGA pro pulled out a tool....I always see a white tee used.
Can't answer the question about the pros using tees. The ones that I spoke to yesterday on the practice green liked it, not saying they are using it, but there is one that uses our putter that really liked it.

So, we will see if I can convert him in a few weeks.

Jay, looks great! I'm always looking for different divot tools so be sure to add one of these to my fish scales and ball marker order!

Frozen Rope, could you explain?

How it is a copy of this :

?? I look at all of their products, and did not see anything that ressemble this design.
Never mind whether the OP's is a copy of the ones above (it doesn't appear to me to be a copy). From what I've experienced, the cheap plastic versions of the ones pictured above work PERFECTLY. I don't think there's much to improve on. The wedge guides the grass back into place, the prongs aren't long enough to destroy the roots, they're comfortable in the hand, they're so cheap they're "disposable," and they're so light weight that you don't know they're in your pocket. With all due respect to the OP's venture, which is noble and has resulted in something that looks beautiful, I don't think there's anything better for repairing divots...

...And THAT being said, as long as this fancy tool isn't marketed as a better was to repair divots, they could do very well.

Good luck!

I would love to try one of these but their web site is such a train wreck I couldn't find a way to order one.

Drew

we didn't get clearance on the name Mantis until a few days ago and the initial pieces won't have that name on them.

however, I am planning on stamping several with the model name on them.

Jay

They will be available monday morning at www.tpmillsputters.com

thanks, hope you are doing well. Stop by East Lake next month and we can visit.

No, but I do have a steel that we are looking at doing some from that is pretty cool.

Not Damascus.

Will do - I'll look forward to that. Let me know when you have some that have "Mantis" on them and I'll for sure pick one up. (off topic, but I hear really great things about your hornback cash cover - congrats!)

I needed the width to make it balance.

1 - the design, while ergonomic, may be uncomfortable/akward in one's pocket. Consider a quick release attachment for one's bag?
2 - how much does it weigh? A solid peice of SS might also be heavy in your pocket...
3 - price?
1. I think the holster for the belt will work the best. The holster will also have a place to hold a ballmarker.
2. it weighs 70g
3. $59 shipped

Just ordered one! Does it still come with the hoster? There is no mention of it on the website. Thanks!

Which does the same thing as my clear plastic club logo'd divot tool, and it was free :)

Which does the same thing as a tee....

That said....I recently bought two of these :)
