Those topics do not get as heated as tiger, Phil, or others. This is for high volume sensitive topics where people can't play nice.

I think it would be cool to have a forum where you take two guys that have been at each other in another thread and put them in there and fight em. Like boxing without the pain. Is gambling legal on here haha

Speaking only for myself, I see no contradiction at all.

These are very controversial topics. Members should not be denied the opportunity to express themselves on them. However, GolfWRX also has a very well known and a very cherished reputation as a website with very high standards. This more stringent posting standard (it seems to me, at least) is a very necessary compromise. Say your piece but do so in a way that is consistent with the rules of the site. If you can't do that, it is your decision.

Speaking as someone who has made my fair share of mistakes on this site, it's not a necessarily a bad thing that people who have made mistakes are willing to accept responsibility for their actions as long as they know what they were doing wrong. I'm sorry but sometimes people do not understand what they did wrong. I do think that there have been tremendous strides over the past 2 months to avoid this issue.

Perhaps it is the way I am reading it but the response from the Marshal above comes across as very arrogant. This new section on it's own would have saved all parties involved a lot of time and effort over the past few months with suspensions and warnings.

Guys it's not a bad thing that your site is in high demand. I hope that my contributions as well as the others who pay to use this site allow it to continue to grow further.

We were getting so many "Why did my Ad get Deleted?" questions that we created a separate help section where those answers could be asked and replies given. Same would apply for questions about nuked posts or topics. We answer the questions, when they are asked, in the Website Help section.

So my question is, how does having this separate forum make it better than just moderating the topics as they lie in General (or wherever else they may fall)? To have a section devoted to those topics that are more controversial and then impose *stricter* rules on it seems counterintuitive to me - if the point of this forum is to house said "heated" topics, then it seems like even creating this forum was an exercise in busy work.

Please note my wording - even though I am disagreeing with an admin, I am not being rude or inflammatory, and to be those things is the last thing I wish. I just don't understand the point of it all, you know?

So Chamblee gets his own forum? Actually I think these new rules will rest in him fading away from wrx. I can't see people being able to post about him and stay within the rules.
