i just want to know how the mechanics of the two different swings are that different.....i am curious and dont know the big differences....anybody got any answers.....i didnt really play much golf before he started the hank haney thing???

A saw him trying out a SQ with a graffaloy prototype shaft (not the bimatrix), that was all black at the private golf club I go to. He was also trying 2 new scotty cameron putters.

This link surfaces every once in awhile but the report is no more credible. The somaxsports people have a huge bias; the analysis is totally geared towards a conclusion about muscle fibers which coincidentally can be a problem with a cure if you use the somaxsports product. These guys are crackpots and really have not business analyzing a golf swing much less TW's swing.

 

Someone with serious golf instruction knowledge (like a Jim McClean) should do a 2000 - 2002 - 2005 - 2006 swng comparison and show us how they are all different.

 

Regardless, TW sure scrambled his Word not allowed off today for a good score. Worse fw percentage of his three rounds, but best GIRs. That tee shot on the par 5 was a doozy, I thought I saw him drop kick that one, but what did it matter, he still birdied. What a course!

his average went to 320.4 yds for this week two with the shaft change...i like it. it looks like the tiger of early 2005 in that his driving accuracy was just sorta on the poor side, not like he was mid 06, and also he isnt taking driver as often off the tee like he seemed to earlier.

I agree I saw him pull three wood towards the end of his round a lot and he was hitting the fairways with it, to bad I didnt get to see his whole day.

I thought it was a good move. Anytime you can still bomb a 3 wood 300 yards accurately, is a great advantage. He was still hitting 7 iron into the greens and was sinking everything. I was very impressed with him. He had to grind and play some serious golf. I'm less worried about him at the Open than I was a couple weeks ago.
