Do you game a special edition one?

For those playing a Scotty...Do you have special edition covers? If so, do you play them or collect them? How many do you have and which ones do you game ?

I primarily game the 08 Team USA. (Pic) but own or have owned and played all of them.

I want to buy one, but everyone seems to sell them new, so Im wondering if they are primarly bought for collecting. I think they would be cool to game.

I have about 50-60, I will game any one of them that's not a 1/500 or less, those stay in the plastic. Usually I grab one I like the look of then I'll keep it on as long as I'm putting well. If I have an off putting day, then the headcover changes for the next round.

I have one, the "Skeledog" version that was put out for Halloween one year, simply because I find it funny to look at and it reminds me of my moron dog.

There are a couple I would like to game on my Scotty, but I'm not going to pay collector prices for a headcover I intend to game. And I have no interest in collecting them.

in past I have gamed standard SC headcovers - but just bought a special - mayhave to break down

I don't have many but I put this one on when my dad and I play in any Parent/Child tournaments since he took me to the 2005 US Open 40 years after his dad took him to the US Open in 1965

 

 

I'm currently gaming this one since I just got my Scotty back from the custom shop last week:

 

 

and I'd kill for this one but I'm having a tough time justifying the cost unless I finally "officially" start a collection:

 

 

Anyone have a good online source for purchasing these and other Scotty goodies other than ebay?

Did game the original Dancing Scotty Dog...but a putter switch negated using the cover. Bummer too, love that one. Have the Kohler one in plastic, was tempted until I found the Scotty Dog. After gaming it for a while, it really holds up well. While I understand the collectability aspect, really gaming it doesn't necessarily "ruin" the cover, actually gives it some character.

I wouldn't call myself a collector but for every putter I own I have a headcover for it. Right now its only 1 putter, 1 cover. I use the 2007 Halloween Skull and Bones cover. I like a lot of Cameron stuff but I buy that stuff to use not really to hang on the wall. Everybody is a little different and collecting isn't my cup of tea.

I have the St. Patty's Day Leprechaun one and I love it......fantastic. I was actually surprised at how good a quality it is. Nice substantial feeling, durable leather- as opposed to the scotty covers they give you when you buy one in a golf shop.

I use the Fruit Loops, 2010 limited release, and lime industrial CT regularly. Depends on how I'm feeling. No collecting, if I own it I use it

I have some cameron club ones, and a circle T.

I use both of them. Just headcovers, so why not.

I collect Cameron covers and use them too. I keep some of them in the package until I want to use them. I have the 2007, 2008, 2010 British Open Ones. I have the 2010 Masters one. I also have the 2010 Hula Girl.

I have been trolling for a [u]2008 British open[/u] cover at a good price. I want to put it in the bag but all I can find are MINT collector quality covers. I don't want to pay $60 for a gamer cover.

I just want that cover because it has the [b][i]Yellow Submarines[/i][/b] on it. Song has some special meaning to the family so it's more a sentimental pick than liking the 2008 Open. I keep looking everywhere to find a used one but even E bay only lists 2-3 at any given time, and naturally they are all for collectors.

I like the Vegas covers too because I used to live there, but the Yellow Subs is my holy grail.

I guess gaming it means it's not hanging on display or sealed in a bag in a drawer. I'd carry it proudly in the bag and watch people do a double take to see if those really are goofy little yellow submarines on on my putter cover.

I play a 009 and used to game an '07 Vegas headcover. But I worried about some scrupleless DB absconding them both. So now I use a Black Titleist American Flag.

63 HC's. They're ALL out of the bag and hanging on a display rack. My favorite(s); Black Cherry Blossom, White Cherry Blossom, and Original Shamrock.

10' and 11' Hula's for me.

I really want a Masters one to game... I just can't see spending $100 on a friggin' headcover that I'm going to end up getting dirty and used.
