I, too, have R9TPs and am interested in the MCs. Would anyone be able to offer a comparison of the two from a forgiveness and feel standpoint?

I played the R9TP's for half a season and initially liked them. I ended up with the opinon they were too light and launched way too high. I now play the CB 4-6 MC 7-PW. The MC's are lower launch (perfect launch for me) and have that nice forged feel. I think the switch the MC's gained me atleast a half club to full club difference because of the launch and feel of this club. I hope that helps.

How about from a forgiveness standpoint? Any difference distance-wise between the R9TPs and the MC's on toe hits, heel hits, thin hits, etc.?

I've played both. MC's are an all around better club...R9TP's sole was just too darn thick. Definitely didn't get in and out of the turf like the MC's. MC's are also extremely forgiving and long. I put them right up there with the AP2's as far as forgiveness goes.

I switched from the R9TP's with a stiff KBS to the MC's with the KBS c-taper shaft. Both sets 4-PW. The MC's are very solid and have a better feel. I do not really find them less forgiving and I prefer the thinner topline. The MC's have a bit more offset but the right amount for my eye.

I tried the VR Pro combos/ VR Pro blades recently as my first taste of blades and I think I'm hooked. I currently play R9's with stiff KBS 90's. I'm currently looking at trying the TM offerings to make up a set of combos maybe CB 3-4, MC 5-6, MB 7-pw. I havent hit them yet but if I can play the MB higher into the set that is my goal. I was thinking also of just getting a set of the MB's and working them slowly into the R9 setup. I seemed to be hitting the VR blades pretty good all the way up to 6 iron, but that was as long as i got. The numbers were pretty good with the Nikes, my 6 iron ss is roughly 86-89mph and I was getting ballspeed up to 130mph out of them. Obviously the lofts in my R9s are 3-4 degrees stronger than most of the MB's on the market but the distance with the blades was good. I think, no wait... im definitely hooked on blades now...

Hit the MBs again and Im sold... ordered them tonight should have them in my hot little hands Wed or Thurs. In the end I hit them so much better, the numbers were great and the flight is really good. I think the Weight plug in the centre is a brilliant idea plus they felt a little more forgiving than the others.. Ive been playing R9s with the KBS 90 stiff shaft and these with the S300 DG were great. Considering I bought the R9s off the rack and these are fitted I more than eager to get these back on the course...hopefully before the weekend..
