Central OR Budget Trip

I need some input on picking courses...

I am hosting a 3 day golf/bachelor party at my parents place in Prineville. We are heading down in mid-july and our budget is going to be around $50 per course. We are carpooling and heading down from Portland on a Friday.

If we had to nail it down right now...it would probably be something like:

*Eagle Crest on Friday (likely to be cheaper because it's a weekday)

*Meadow Lakes on Saturday (this one is set in stone because of convenience)

*Kah Nee Tah on Sunday (fairly open to suggestion on this one, the fact that it is on our way home is why it is on the list)

I would really appreciate any input or suggestions you might have.

Do you really think they would cut me a deal at Tetherow? That course is above Bandon on my list of courses I've yet to play. I could only imagine convincing the groom that we're heading to Eagle Crest...and waiting until we are halfway there before telling him our tee time is at Tetherow.

And I've heard juniper is awsome too. If they still have deals there on golfnow I might head there.

How many playing?
Tetherow offers a $65 round in the afternoon at 1:30 everyday for 4 players and $70 for the times after that.

Not sure how Widgi Creek is now, but it is $30.

I don't know if the deal was just yesterday, but a guy that comes into the shop quite a bit played Tetherow yesterday and it was $49 cart included. I would definitely give them a call and see what they can do for you.

Play my track Juniper for sure. I would also play Pronghorn and Black Butte Big Meadow. No brainer.

I live in Central Oregon and I can tell you that $50 per course is going to be difficult unless you are willing to play twilight hours....esp. if you are going to be down on the weekend.
Eagle Crest ( Ridge) is $62.....they don't have a twighlight unless you want to play the Resort Course.

If it were me, here is the courses, based on your $50 per day amount, I'd play

Friday - Meadow Lakes after 1 = $28.00 savings of $22.00
Saturday - Widgi Creek after 1 = $45.00 savings of $5.00
Sunday - Juniper open to noon =$65 or after noon = $54


Total saved - $23.00

Still enough to go to Cascade Lakes Brewery or the Red Dog in Redmond and have some beers and lunch......

Ok, so the trip is a little over a month away and we've narrowed it down a bit.

We are definitely playing Meadow Lakes on Saturday, and we want to play one of the Redmond/Bend courses on Friday afternoon. It seems like the rates decrease dramatcally after 2pm. One of the guys suggested Rivers Edge...thoughts? Tetherow would be great, but two of our fousome are 15+ handicaps and I'm afraid that it would be too brutal.

EDIT: For what it's worth, my vote is for JUNIPER.

Well, Tetherow is $95 or so for twilight. Tetherow can be tough if you don't hit it straight. I played great when I was there, but my playing caddie lost half a dozen balls.

River's Edge is kinda goofy golf, but I kind of enjoy playing there if I'm staying in town.

But being out that way, I'd consider Eagle Crest or Lost Tracks or even Aspen.
