There is alot of technology involved with this driver. The pics that will be posted next week with the videos will help to start to explain it. Their will be an unfolding story and comments about it should be reserved till the whole thing is revealed. There are two drivers and the story is going to be/have to be good.

Is this the Callaway Sqaure discussed in other posts? Doesn't look that sqaure to me...not saying I like it, but thought it would be much more "sqaure"

No offense GX, but no amount of technology or marketing hype can make me think that looks appealing to the eye. There is a ton of cool technology in a Prius, but I would not drive one.

I am waiting for the first reviews of this driver adding 15-20 yards EASILY to everyone's game...

That is going to be the typical response. I have not heard anyone say on first look, "Man that's a pretty driver." That is why I'm saying its going to have to be a good story. The hibore went through the same process. You may or may not like the look but, it will work for some and I'm really curious about the story.

That has to be the ugliest driver I have ever seen. Good story and technology or not, I'd say 90% of the people will stay away because it's an eye sore.

With that said, I can't wait to hear the technology behind this driver. How long can you simply add a carbon composite crown, rehash the 975D, or have 2-4 movable weights?

Nike hasn't hyped it up at all- they haven't begun to market it at all...

Well I like the fact that they've come up with something original and radically different, so kudos to them. The square shape is said to vastly increase M.O.I, and if it really is more forgiving, then great! I also like the fact that the Sumo Square supposedley sounds like a shotgun...

camera phone pic or not..it's clear enough to see if the driver is not attractive at all. Your fooling yourself Mike I am however interested in the technology, the hibore is nice if I could find a 7.5 degree head, I can see where the hibore would help alot of golfers if they could get by the looks. So I guess the same goes with the SUMO..it's going to be a tough sell because of the looks.

That thing is gross, I would never foul my bag with that thing. I can say that because I am pretty confident that it doesn't have some magical properties that will give everyone an extra 50 yds. If I turn out to be wrong about that, I reserve the option of changing my opinion!

 

But really, the question is....will Tiger put it in play? If so, it will sell, if not it will struggle. They could mount a cantalope on a pole and if Tiger was playing one I am sure they would sell a fair share.

i expected it to be more like a cube. they just took the SQ max and made the corners a little bit more square like. I cant even tell whats on the crown.

Last I heard Nike knew what they are doing. I bet this puppy works for them to launch a "square" head.

Everyone seems to forget that once a new nike driver comes out people say it ugly or hideous,

well nothing will ever top the hi-bore that is the stupidest driver on the market. this new stick is odd

but will grow on to you. the only question is when will the greatest golfer switch to it....tour championship or the target world tourney. it doesnt matter what the man uses he could use a knock off ladies flex driver and still win.

lets not forget Tiger moved to the SQ Tour (closer to his ignite...) from the SQ after his lack of success with it.
