I'm a HS PE teacher so I think I probably fall into the same category as you lol! I probably shouldn't have bought it, but I have a ho problem and recently it's moved from woods and irons to putters. The seller was great to deal with and came way off his intial asking price. In the end, it wasn't too much more than a retail betti (and I need more toe hang than the SS9).

That, and irons, had been more my taste until now, and I am learning the lesson the hard way haha! Although I'm not even close to the level of some around here.

I work hard for my $. I'm not a typical PE teacher, I also teach real classes, am the AD at a public charter school (=stupid hours) as well as coaching Soccer and Baseball. So right now while am young, I am going to spend it on things that make me happy, because if I keep working like this it's going to kill me and I won't be able to enjoy my saved $ later ( I do save though, it's not like I spend everything).

I know that's not the best logic but it's what I do to get me through these times with the ridiculous educational inequities/gaps that occur in our country which I am trying to change. I work hard, think I am making a difference, so I'm going to use that $400 putter during the 1-2 times I get to play a week...wow this just keeps getting more and more ridiculous as I keep typing, I keep finding holes in my own logic so I am going to stop typing before I sell all my golf stuff...tp mills hi toe fleetwood PT anyone?

I was told this putter was made after the breakup with Scotty, circa early 90s. Found it on Ebay (stole it actually) This thing is perfectly balanced for my stroke. It used to have a gold-colored face insert, but it's still pretty to me. Uses a .335 wood shaft!

Wow, i just read this thread from start to finish and there is a huge pile of drool on my desk now, i just recently became a Betti addict, only have a 2012 SS5 at the moment, and sorry, no pics, and wow, i love that BB-0 Slime Stingers!!!!!! along with many many others

The answer is "yes". Depends what you are looking for and who has it. Also, Jimmy and Nick have their own stashes, and can usually steer you in the right direction if you are looking for something in particular. I've done this a few times. So if you are looking for something unique, your best bet is to drop one or both of them a note.

I think only one or two fakes have ever shown up, hard to fake the honeycomb milling without it being very obvious. Shouldn't have any worries.

Sold between 2000 and 2002. That is a real beauty. I had one of the heavy ones with an "H" stamped on the hosel. I putted great with it for many years. I know Bettinardi's old VP gamed one himself. Very nice acquisition.I think 500 were made but would not bet on that.

Here are my putters I just received from Bettinardi. The SB-8 was sent back for refinishing. I requested the same Borealis finish from last year's BB line. However, I was told that wasn't possible and I had to choose their Black Iris from this year's BB line. I am not quite sure what this finish is because it is def. not Black Iris but doesn't really look like the Borealis either. There is a rainbow hue effect in the cavity.

The Dass BB2 looks amazing and I can't wait to roll it. Let me know what you guys think! Both have the black shafts and IOMIC grips.

If that SB-8 is the original finish, it appears to be Black Prism from a few years ago. However, it could have been done aftermarket as well. That BB2 looks killer. Just wish I could putt with them. I keep buying one every couple of years apparently just to remind myself how much I can't putt with them.

They are normally plain with the exception of the "H". I would guess it is someone's initials by special request or done after-market.
