question about getting fitted for a shaft

crap..they don't, stock them...but Nemacolin resort about 30 minutes away has a partnership with nike and has a nike fitting program....so they probably have a number of shafts that will fit me.....so I called the instructor that does the fittings and left him a message....hopefully he calls back soon...still not going to do another fitting until I get the info back from my fitting yesterday...hopefully things will work out...I don't wanna pay a bunch of money for the wrong shaft

Well...Nemacolan does not have a bunch of the shafts even though they have a partnership with nike....I'm not buying a shaft without hitting with it...that's just not the way I do things...its bs...no where in Pittsburgh area has the shafts with the str8 fit adapter(like the ones one the Nike website)
Is it too much to ask to hit a damn shaft with my head on it before buying?

I may have missed it - but why are you stuck on Nike? Are there other heads/shafts that were recommended? or did you like any others?

Because I have a Nike ms black...it'll cost me more than I can spend to get a whole new setup

Well....because the way it is in pitt....there is no where I can go and just try out a shaft with my head because no one has the shafts with the str8 fit adapter on it
This is the kind of thing that makes me wanna just sale the whole thing and put money into a new setup...I did just get a bonus...just really wanted to throw that money in the bank

I play golf like 4 times a week and I just can't hit it anymore


I probably will see about getting lessons and then go from there...maybe if I had the proprietor swing I won't need a change

You have the classic symptoms of angst, buyers remorse, distrust, etc. I believe you are really not comfortable/trusting enough for true custom. I suggest you stick to off the shelf, pre-built, I have to try before I buy, what are your return policies, etc. type stuff.

I am just a try it before I buy it kinda guy...cant help it...i want to make sure it's the right fit for me...it's just a little crappy that places like GG don't have more than one other shaft that will fit my driver...if they want to do fitting...how are they going to fit me when they have nothing to go by other than hitting a different head...i don't trust that...i want to hit it with my head

Most (if not all major chains) are not in business to truly custom fit you. They are in business to sell you what they have in inventory. The "stuff' they do called fitting is just a sales tool to sell you what they have.

Unless you run into a freak situation, I can assure you that you will not find the club you have set up with the shaft you want to try.

Seems to me the first guy you went to was trying to help you, versus sell you something in stock yet you did not trust him and you came out here asking "strangers" to 2nd guess him. Why not go back and talk to him more?

OR...bring your Nike driver to the original fitter, and ask him to help you to improve its performance (with a shaft).
