I found one of these ball these other day and decided to play it for the rest of the round. I was VERY surprised! I like it a lot! Went to Academy and picked up a dozen...$12.99!!!

Haven't had a chance to put them through the ringer but my initial impressions are that it is an AWESOME ball at an incredibly low price!

played this ball for the first time yesterday and as a result, I hit the longest 7 iron I've ever hit. Given it was down wind but it was up hill, I hit a seven iron 176 according to my skycaddie. Just for your information, I normally hit a 7 iron about 160 so this impressed me. I came to this shot by hitting numerous balls over greens. These balls are worth giving a shot. Never thought I would say that after only paying 12 bucks for them at Wally World

Played a round Wednesday with some of these. picked them up on a whim at Sports Authority for $12.99. Played the RTJ Shoals Schoolmaster course from the Purple tees (7200+) and was very impressed with the ball. Temps were near 90 and wind was around 10mph. Distance on woods and irons were right in line with what I am used to, but the feel off the clubface was awsome. I had to play several mid and long irons into greens and only had one ball roll much at all past the pitch mark (185 5i to uphill green). Wedge shots around the greens felt great and ball control was astounding. I've played Pro V1s, B-330S and Z-Stars in the past, which are great balls, just expensive. I have also been trying the e5, which is quite decent, but I don't think I will waste my time with it any longer.

These definitely feel just as soft off the club face as the TM Project (a)'s I've been playing, but my Jaws MD doesn't seem to scar them as bad so far. I've only hit them in the house so far though.

RIR, I was told by the guy at GT that these play a lot like a ProV?? Do you find this to be trueish?? I don't play ProV's so I don't know to compare.
I think the Pro V spins more on full sots, cause I can back them up with ease. These just sit and stay. The best feel with the Fifty is on little pitches around the green. They are REALLY SOFT on those. Easiest ball I've found to sit on a 10 yd pitch.

TY sir, I've been hitting them downstairs all night, they do feel very soft on short chips swings. I'm reeaally liking them with the putter, I've never hit so many hallway putts in a row before lol. I can't wait to try them tomorrow.

Have you tried the Project (a)'s yet?? They are also very soft and really nice around the greens as well.

I bought some yellow 50 elites today for $11.99 as I was plum out of balls and needed some for winter coming and yellow to find in the fall leaves.

Holy smokes. That ball is awesome without even saying "for the money". It's fall time now so it ain't warm, but they were long and spun adequately. Felt great off the putter. This may be the best cheap ball for my game. Loved them.

I keep wondering if my lovefest for this ball will continue come warmer temps. I couldn't be happier playing this ball since October though. I have been a ball snob like so many here for so long and am blown away that I use a $1 ball

I want to jump on board these great balls and deals. So which Wilsons..not the $40, ones are the best? I know I've seen the deals at Walmart.

I don't want to accidentally get a good deal but get a crappy ball.
Late reply but if you are still looking, if you stick to anything in the Wilson Staff range you should be good. All the Staff balls perform for serious golfers. The non staff line like Ultras are crap, but I've never hit a Wilson Staff ball I didn't like.

I agree that the Wilsons are good balls full stop, not just for the money. I recently decided to stop wasting money on premium balls. I am stocked with Nike PD Longs for the next year or so, but when I need balls again Wilsons will be on my list. Since going to lower tier balls I have noticed my distance has improved and I haven't lost anything around the greens. I think the obsession with premium balls is actually hurting most ams games instead of helping. I have abstained from the premium ball kool aid for over a month and my game continues to improve.

I am very interested to see how these play in warm weather. I love their feel in the cold and don't mind their stopping power. I spin it a lot now and usually have too many problems with spin and with these I feel I'm more consistent.

Found one on the course today and played twelve holes with it against a '11 ProV1. Didn't spin as much on full shots, but other than that it held it's own. Almost holed out three times with it, once on a 20 yard bunker shot, another on a 75 yard lob wedge, and a hybrid from 215!

I'm a high handicap golfer who was getting terrible spin off the driver and irons with other more expensive balls. I bought 2 boxes of the 50 Elite this past weekend (one yellow and one white) for $26 based on various reviews on this website.

I was really impressed. My drives and iron shots were straight and chipping around the green was great as the ball feels nice and soft. I'm not sure if I lost/gained any driver distance but if I did, it would be negligible. Putting was a bit tricky as the balls didn't have much feel off the putter, but I'll work on that.

Overall, I'm really happy with these balls. I hope Wison doesn't discontinue them anytime soon. I suppose there are other similar options like the Callaway Supersoft but the price on these Wilson's is fantastic.

It does feel super soft as if you are losing distance, but my actual distance was just as good if not better than any ball I have played consistently. That said, that fell, is a beautiful thing with the irons in hand.

The only club I feel I may be loosing some distance is with the driver, but even that is minimal I'm pretty sure. I love the soft feel off an iron though, love it :)
