Colorado practice ranges

Hey all,

 

First post here. My daily commute takes me from I-70 and Sheridan throught e-470 and university. I'm looking for course with a nice range and practice area. I used to frequent Murphy creek when I lived in that area. Any suggestions?

Depends, do you take 70 to e-470 to c-470? If so, you might want to check out Heritage Eagle Bend (E470/Gartrell). I'm a member there and really like the course and facilities (although the short game area could use some expansion). If that doesn't fit your bill there's also Saddle Rock on the opposite side of E470. Further north there Green Valley Ranch. Very fun course and very nice practice facilities. That's about it for me. I'm in Parker and haven't expanded my golf area too much. HTH.

Another vote for Saddle Rock. It's one of my favorite public practice areas in the Denver metro area. I just wish it wasn't so far away from me.

I think he means C-470/University.

The two nicer ranges in the area are Lone Tree Golf Club and Highlands Ranch Golf Club. There is also Raccoon Creek and Meadow Hills.

Ill put out another vote for Heritage Eagle Bend. Pretty nice practice area but I agree the short game area could be expanded and improved a bit. I bought a range membership there this season and it was well worth it.

Not to revive an old thread but just found out about Broken Tee off of Santa Fe. Very nice practice facility if you have not been there.

I just discovered this gem. $10 buys an all day range pass and all the balls you can hit. Compare that to spending $8 for ONE basket of balls at most places and it is a real bargain.

This is where I do all of my practicing. It's hands-down the nicest facility near the city and the range has a fair amount of targets and the chipping area is great. My only complaint is that the practice green runs kind of slow.

Im moving to CO in a few days. Will be 3 miles from there. Broken Tee has a range special for the winter. I think its $140 for unlimited range balls (mats only though). This is what I plan on doing.

Family Sports Center on Arapahoe (just east of I-25) has a pretty decent practice facility. I particularly like the short game area. They have 2 short game greens with a few bunkers, roughly 150yds apart. I just wish they had better quality balls so i could more accurately determine my distances.

I'm not sure if they still have the "special" or not but I paid for a $100 range card at Family Sport Center and got a card with $150 on it.

I'm pretty sure they still offer that special. I vaguely remember seeing a flyer for it last time I was there.
