Miura Dealer Recommendations

Can you guys recommend me a good Miura iron dealer and builder? Who is the best most competent builder?

Website may need an overhaul, but I've heard nothing but good things... I've exchanged e-mails with the owner (eventually getting custom fitted Wishon irons) and he was super friendly and helpful... no sales pressure at all...

Probably worth your time to get custom fitted if you are going to spend the money, though.

I believe that chip and putt would be Chip User of Usher golf. He is a Miura dealer and while I have never had a Miura product from him he is awesome. Back when OEM shafts were total garbage, I used to send all my work to him. He has always done a great job and has been fair with the price.

Chip Usher has built 3 sets for me. Recommend him, but there are other good DEALERS mentioned here. Miura is extremely picky about who they allow to be a dealer with an account with them.

Note there are shops that call themselves Miura Dealers or sell Miura irons when they don't have an account with Miura.

Check Miura's website to see if you are buying from a real dealer. If you send money to one of the "third party" dealers and they don't have your head in stock, they could run into issues trying to get a particular head for you thru their third party which could mean a delay for you.

Call their 800 number to confirm you are dealing with a real dealer...

Joe, hands down. I've had Miura's built at another dealer and the specs were totally off- every iron was a different swingweight and the lie angles were not consistent. Joe's attention to detail is unparalleled.

Got all my recent Miura stuff from Ted, he is awesome. I also got some miura wedges from Chip Usher who is also very good.

Can we keep this thread going? I am getting some good ideas and i have reached out to a few of the dealers....
Anyone else that's not on the list that I should consider? I am VERY picky when it comes to my golf clubs and the specs have to be spot on.

Chip is great. His website is Usher Golf and he is in Savannah,Georgia.

I was working on Nantucket and heading home for 3 days to NC last year before flying up to Alaska for work.

I contacted Chip two days before flying home to NC. A long shot as I had a short window of opportunity to get the clubs.

I called Chip and he built three Miura wedges and they were on my door steps when I got home to NC.

I just emailed him in fact asking about a demo 102 7 iron. Thinking about getting a set. If this works out, I will be driving down to Georgia for the actual fitting of course. Just trying to see if I can hit these 102's first.

The Miura wedges I got are butter. Hope the irons are similar.

I would use Kwok. He seems neurotically meticulous. I have emailed him a few times and exchanged posts here on the forums, good guy, great builder. You should search some of his posts he has a lot of material here on the site for viewing from his build processes to pictures of finished products.
