That initiation fee is ridiculous! Super course too since I grew up playing on it. C'mon Chad..do it..I'll drive!

Anyway...just got home. Excellent ENJOYABLE round with Mach 1 and Xsfspeed over at Royal Kunia today. Although I played my usual crappy round..the company was da winnahs! Mahalo's guys for the great time...great brunch at Ray's Cafe and Bobby...Tony and I missed you at Roots. You didn't get to see me ho yet another putter.

I asked Chad the other day..he said he was taking jobs by appointment only last week. It's his first time back in his shop in weeks after being sick so long. Not sure if he's just plain open this week or still by appointment.

Bubba..missed you this morning. Only thing(s) new for me is the Betti you haven't seen me with yet and another MP T11/60-08. Works much better in the bunkers and fairways then the old one. I needed that extra bounce for sure.

Definitely fast...could have been faster had me stuck to the plan per Mr T and gave more putts! We probably all would have shot better too. I'd have gladly took a good good on 18 instead of 3 putting for par!

If only we had known the results of the UH game prior to rushing to the 2hr 40 minute round. We could have played another 18!

Nice getting in 18 holes at Klipper today with da master and gizmo. I think we finally figured out if you want to get 18 holes in..repeat the front 9! I think we finished the second 9 in just over an hour..compared to almost 3 hour first 9.

I was wondering how 18 was possible with the speed of play in the PM. Too bad I missed it. I was done cleaning by 2, but was watching the A-Team on Netflix. I didn't remember that Face was not Face in the pilot.

Well I just got home from playing at Pearl Country Club today. It was a round looooong overdue as it was sort of a reunion of some of the members of my high school golf team. Big MAHALO to Jeff/maxima808 for putting it together. I haven't played with these guys since I graduated 27 years ago. Shaddddduuuup Chad, Joey etc..you young punks.

First off...Pearl CC. We had a starting time at 1:00pm. We check in and they've moved us to 1:25pm. Reason? None given but we were all there by 12:30pm. We make our way to the 1st tee box all happy as hell since we haven't seen each other in years and the starter in the cart tells us we need to have the carts in by 5:45pm. I quickly tell him that we had a time at 1pm but were pushed back. He asked how come and I told him we were still wondering the same.

We were hitting and waiting on every shot till the 3rd hole Par 3 where there were two groups backed up. A guy in the group ahead says they're all Pearl CC employees having their "tournament" with banquet to follow. Hmmmm..could this be the reason we were pushed back? Because their own employees play freeking slow???

The whole round we're hitting and waiting on every shot and we get to the 18th hole at 5:50pm. We figured since the group in front are employees and they're not heading in we made it and would get 18 in. WRONG. Jeff hit a super drive, I teed up my ball and just as I was addressing it, I hear a golf cart coming from the 17th and I hear a guy say "DON'T HIT THAT BALL". I look up and there's the starter again. He tells us we can't finish the 18th because it's 5:50pm and we're supposed to be in by 5:45pm. What the Freeking Fuuuuuuuu__ __ you fill in the blanks.

I can't believe they kicked us off on the last damn hole.

Anyway..sorry for the rant but I think Pearl Country Club sucks major @#$%^&. By the way..the greens were still slow as ever. I don't think they've ever recovered since they killed them with the wrong chemicals.

The round....super round of golf. We used to have our practices at Pearl during High School. Lot's of memories of playing that course...and we laughed because when we did, we were walking it. Oddly we were still playing persimmons back then and we noted that back then we were hitting #1 in two. When the hell did they lengthen it??!! Totally enjoyed it and we're pretty sure we won't wait another 27 years to do it again. Hell..in 27 years I'll be lucky if I'm still alive!

Hey Kevin..really it's been ages! I've been visting Roots pretty often and the boys say I keep missing you. I did happen to see a putter in the backroom they were saving for you. Nice! Good pick up on the GR's. Those are a very nice set of irons. Thank goodness for the furlough though, I'm actually making wear marks on my irons and getting a feel for once with a set. Went to the Sony Open today and ran into the Pitbull, Mach1 and ML43. Got to see most of the top guys play. I was surprised that Adam Scott and Camilo Villegas struggled. Camilo's day was kinda summarized when a bird took a crap on his head.

Ken got the royal shaft from the new owners at Kapolei. Glad to see that he got the top dawg position at Ko'olau.
