Wedges looks F'ing sweet Ryan, great tools for our divot art competition! ,

It looks like I am going to be stuck on a range possibly. I somehow hit balls on the range like a 2-3 handicap yet goto the course and play like a 20+ handicap. ./rant over.
Thanks. The wedges are awesome. After a few range sessions and one round (3 over) the wedges are what I hoped, but I also forgot how much new wedges spin! My old set was over 4 years old and I was very use to how the ball released from my old lob wedge. Having the extra little bit of check option might be nice. Full swings on the 53 were just nuts. I had a few shots on the range with the 53 that hit hard pan and just spun back with an aggressive hop that looked like a scared jack rabbit running. It's also really nice to now have some bounce and be able to attack down with the 48 and 53.

Ryan, are you ready to sell me the black peace and smiley cover yet?

Somewhere in Asia there are probably some for sale. Is there a Japanese eBay?

New hybrid...

Adams 9031 DF (deep face) 18° with Matrix Radix 9T shaft. VERY VERY low launching unless you stay behind impact. It is possible to launch high, but it takes just about a perfect swing. Basically it's GREAT! At first I was like WTF... it won't go higher than a full swing knock down stinger type shot, but once I moved the ball forward a little it took off like a rocket. Much hotter, longer and more piercing than any hybrid combo I've ever hit which is strange because the Radix is not known to be so low launching, I think? SO this new found hybrid distance is great for two reasons. I finally have a hybrid (2 iron replacement) that is always longer than my 3 iron, and it made my old 3 wood ashamed to be in the bag. This Adams hybrid was placing the same total distance as my TEE XCG-3 15° -- mostly because the old 3 wood was ballooning and dropping like dead weight recently. So that started my search for a new 3 wood that didn't balloon. I hit a bunch of 3 woods, and they were all longer than my TEE XCG-3 as long as the shaft kept the balloons in check. I settled on a 910F 15° set at D2 with stiff Ahina. I love the head shape, the Surefit system, and that I paid $175 for it brand new.

...apparently pics won't upload. maybe later. The 3 wood is standard OTR stuff, but the Adams is pretty to look at.

:search:

There's probably something better out there, but this thing is fun to hit for now. It's on a short leash. Not sure if it's the deep face head or the shaft that's a hair too stiff for me (under the grip the sticker says CPM 281!!) A good strike feels better and performs better than anything I've ever hit around 18-20°, but I doubt any good fitter would have me bag it.

New bag. Jones bag by Travis Mathew or is it Travis Mathew bag by Jones Golf? Light and well balanced. Definite gamer bag for walking 9 or 18.

I've only walked around with the bag in my yard -- just got it a couple days ago. It's not going to work well on muddy, rainy days. This is a fairweather bag for sure.

The bag made an interesting first impression. When I opened the box my first thought was, "that's it?" BUT as soon as it was filled with clubs I was having flashes of glory walking around with this feather. The nylon is nicer than I expected. The strap is OK. It feels thick and well padded, but I wonder if the fake leather will hold up under the baking sun and the material on the under side of the strap feels cheap.

As far as the 913... Not yet. My 910 is dialed to perfection. I was really excited to try a Tour Ad BB in a 913, but I don't think that's happening now.

That bag is sick. Jones bags are old school and probably not the best for walking around a whole lot. Better leave it for looking cool in the cart.

Hard to imagine it not making a great walking bag. It's so light. If not, oh well. It's main, original purpose was to get the laddies all wild and take up less space in my trunk since my clubs live in there.

The strap sucks and there's no stand. But the original purpose was definitely accomplished lol. I need "Project Coyote" to hurry up and finish.

Oh man, those irons are so sweet. That looks almost identical to the way I used to order my irons fro Ram and MacGregor. They called that grind "semi-square." I now have a classic set of 821's in my bag with square toes. I like the shape of yours much better, BEAUTIFUL!

How much do byron putters cost?
Between $300 -$3,000. It depends on what you design. The higher end prices are for 100% handmade putters that take Byron a lot of time to make.

Really? He is getting more German Bomboras... The rockpile is just a cavity in a Bombora - I wonder why he's not doing any more?

I don't know why he just said he would not be doing them again, Which kind of stinks, because I like the headshape and im dying to see what GSS feels like.

Finalist do you have to do anything to maintain your Byron putters? Just curious. They look incredible.
Depends on the type of metal.

Stainless steel (German and American): Nothing done. Just a spit shine to wipe off grass stains from hitting 70 yard pitch shots. :swoon2: joking.

Carbon Steel (Blue Oil on carbon and Black Ox): Yes, I use the best product known to man... Yamalube. I clean the putter with soap, water, dry and spray some Yamalube on to it.

Solid Copper: nothing done. I don't even wash them. Just let any and all natural patina take over.
