Did you ever pickup a 913?
No, My 910 cracked in September and Titleist replaced the head. BTW the driver was nearly two years old and had an after market shaft. I knew the warranty was out for both reasons, but I called and asked if they would replace the head and can I hold on to my shaft. The lady on the phone said sure, so I sent in the head through Morton's Golf (local for me) and got a brand new head in a week. I think because Titleist was probably getting ready to dump the 910 for the 913s last September they just let my case go through... Also Morton's is a HUGE retailer.

I still love my 910/Kusala Black combo.

I may have to try the Callaway X Hot. Every time I talk to Tai he raves about it. Spoiler alert.

Anything functionally different compared to your other 612's? What was the purpose of the weld? Offset change?

Do the bi metal necks serve any performance change or is it purely aesthetics?

Can't wait to see the finished product.
no functionality in the bi-metal on mine. There is a sweet copper head with a steel long neck that JCL owns. I would think his steel neck may help a lot since copper necks can bend out of spec just by bumping the ground, and he likes long necks and there are no solid copper long necks... but mine is all looks. The standard 612 shape is what I like for function - anser 2 style, thin top line, 3/4 plumber's neck offset etc.

Would love to see an address shot of one of your 612's w/ a rolled top line if you have one handy. My 612 has a flat top line, but I'm really liking the rolled look on my DH. The only address shot I've seen of 612's have the flat top line.

I'd say first about the rolled top is that it looks more finished, more custom, etc. In person when you look at the arch it's somewhat subtle, but the way it reflects light is where it really works well. I noticed right away the rolled top flows into the face better and almost hides it on dark finished putters. The standard flat top line has the harder edge between the top and the face, so your eye can pick up the face more easily. Personally I like the way the face vanishes on dark putters and the rolled top really helps that effect.

Putter is filthy! I think the rolled top line looks 100x's better than the flat on the 612.

I just checked out the first page... Wow you have a lot of Byrons! Quick question, is your "9 iron" Byron close to a napa, or a del mar style? It was tough to tell in the pictures... Sweet either way.
The "9 iron" is Byron's take on an Arnold Palmer 8802. The head I have pictured is the actual prototype of his newer 8811 style except mine has slightly more offset. It is possibly the softest putter I own. All that material behind the impact area makes it feel like marshmellows. All I know about Napa is that's where I get my wine and delta breeze and Del Mar's have a cavity and longer flange.

Nice stuff, man! Tried to PM you, but couldn't get through. I saw your Jones/TM bag and figured I would try to get in touch with you. I am fed up with my recent string of stand bags (particularly my pings). I've had numerous issues with the legs, straps, and balance (clubs sliding out of the top) while carrying. I've been eyeing a Jones original as a legitimate replacement, and was curious how you like yours. Any issues walking or riding (I mostly walk). I understand they are pretty much indestructable, so I am more curious about whether they are practical for someone who carries 14 clubs and if you miss the features of the stand bag. Also, is the lack of a spine an issue?

I don't have any mallets. I tried a Da Kine a few years ago for a few strokes. At the time I was so floored by the yet to be named 612 prototype Byron had that I could only think of that stick. I wouldn't mind having one, but I'm not sure that I would game it.

I stopped using the Jones bag for two reasons. I spend most of my golf time at the range and legs are just a much nicer thing to have as I like to switch clubs often. Also, I use a push cart a lot and the Jones bag looks funny. However, if you carry they are nice. My favorite feature is how easy it is to get to all your pockets and clubs while you walk and still have the bag shouldered. Because the clubs are facing forward you can grab your club and have access to the pockets without changing or resting the bag any differently than the normal carry position. As far as durability – I'm not sure. It's fake leather, so there is a plastic feel that could possibly rip? I don't know. Mine is not old enough. Also, I'd avoid this bag in muddy, wet weather. It goes on the ground a lot and requires a well placed towel to keep mud off it. It does clean really well though.

If you want one I do recommend them. There are no negative surprises and only the positives of access to clubs and gear while still walking to your target. I say get one.
