How much thicker/heavier are these compared to the Modern Tech Pant?[/quote]

I'll say double. These pants are wind and water proof.

They have fleece inside the legs. Really thick and durable, but stretchy as well. These don't strict your legs.

I only played in the 2013 pair and tried on the 2014 pair before buying and felt the same thickness and movability.

A little Christmas surprise

 

new pair of black lizard Patrick Gibbons Handmade shoes and my mom called him back to ask him to make me a driver cover to go with the new sun mountain 3.5 bag. Thankfully Patrick and I had talked about eventually making a set of SF Giants covers during a round of golf one day so he knew just what to make for me. Going to do a 3 wood cover to match here soon.

Got a FJ and Ping polo and a pair of Maide Highland pants for Xmas. The pants are insane. Super comfortable and very high quality!

I had a good haul for Xmas. Picked up a red titleist hat..which I really haven't seen a lot. I also scored 2 long sleeve pullovers, 1 SS pullover and a new cart bag.

They're pretty solid. I got slim fit, and they are pretty close to that. Nothing too tight, not baggy. Can't really compare them to any other golf brands, as I live in LA so I'm mostly wearing shorts. I do have a pair of Oakley Take 3s, and they're much baggier than the Maide's, which are slim without being skinny. I'm 5'9" so the length is the issue for me, they (like most pants) run a big long for my taste.
