What kind of Anser/Newport do you prefer ?

I wonder what kind of Anser design Golfwrx users prefer.

Anser is an overall great putter. I voted for the anser/np2 though.

Santa Fe is essentially the precursor to the Newport 1.5--rounded bumpers and shorter heal-to-toe than the newport 2, but with the shaft-over hosel neck (yes, the Santa Fe).

 

Anyway, I got over my righteous indignation over the Anser numbering oversight. I wasn't really trying to come off as cranky, but I never tried to get old and fat either. :) I voted for the Anser 4, and pushed extra hard to make up for daoldguy. I loved the shape so much I've try to get most of my putters in that same vein (BB18, Klassic, custom Byron Design, etc). The Anser 2 is nice enough, but I'd rather balance the plumber neck with the Scottsdale Anser style. Only putter in Cameron's coral that comes close to that look is the 009--which is done VERY nicely!

Newport 2.5 for me. I just seem to have better feel and results with the Santa Fe style neck compared to the plumbers neck.

If ya talkin scotty its the newport 1.5, preferably in prototype guise with that ,oh so nice,black pearl finish. If ya talkin anser it's gotta be the anser 2, and if your a real connoisseur it would be BeCu.!!!! Both v.nice i think you'll agree!

Yeah, That Newport 1.5 BP Proto is Sweet. Especially w/ the BP Shaft and Black Headcover
