How to get a Scotty 009 brand new ?

Want to buy a 009 BRAND NEW - is this possible ?

Hey,

Would like to know if you can custom order a 009 Scotty putter and what the price range might be (I guess from $2.500-4.000)
I would like to order my own custom made Scotty 009 putter in custom finish and custom headweight and so on - hope it's possible :)

Scotty no longer does custom orders as of mid last year. He wanted it to be where he is the one to decide finish, stampings, etc...

Your 009 was truely lovely and minty. Considering the demand, I think you could have sold it in about 30 (instead of 10 minutes) for about $300 to $400 more. I know you intentionally put a very fair price on it.

 

And thank God I'm still feeling the pain in my bank account from a large end of year transfer to my boys college savings plans.

Seaside Golf is in Japan.. However they usually get the "pimped" 009 Scotty is making.

 

These are more special stamped... having graphite shafts, & rarer grips. There just not usually a plain jane 009 with simple stamping.

that seaside golf link already has newport 2 detour fro sale, man that's fast. They were just shown to the players' on tour recently.

Seaside are brand new. Jim at TableRock and Rand at AOP will also sell brand new 009s. You just won't be able to get a "custom."

I don't know if your computer is the same as mine. But I just right click on their site and it will translate it into english for me.

 

Seaside normally will be your best bet for pimped out 009's

Yes, thats what the people who were listed do. They Do sell New 009's.

Sorry but I AM anal about my golf gear - I hate the feel of using used equipment. It has to be brand new and preferably custom made for me, myself & I :) :) (cool)

 

In my view it's OK to pay big dollar for golf gear, but NOT if it's used and not custom made to my specifications and design wishes.

The thing to do is first to check out what spec you want - head finish and weight, hosel design, graphite or steel shaft, whatever type of stamps etc - and ask Jim Butler or Rand Pallis to look out for one for you. You can do a search for 009 on the Registry and browse those for ideas.

 

If it is something fairly pimped out, chances are Seaside is your best bet. Email Seaside directly, and you will get a reply in English. Make it clear and simple what you want - if you see a putter on their site, they may well have another similar one not yet listed for sale. Or if not, they may well email you back in a week or two with one.

I'm trying to remember if I have ever seen a SS 009. I don't think I have ever heard of one. You can't do any of the special finishes on a SS head really so that's why they are made of Carbon Steel. Every one I have ever seen for sale has been carbon steel.

There are no 009's with a Newport 2 head. The Tablerock link has as close as you will get. 350g is as heavy as you will find.

If you are as picky as you say, You may want to study & double check on what's available before you look for it.

 

Look through the Cameron Registry, and check out the 009's- thats your best idea for possibilities.

There is a newport 2 head that resembles the more modern ping anser that has a little higher,blockier toe and weight. bumpers.......but its not an 009......and a Newport 2 009,there is no such animal. I'm sure if you found a lightly used model in what you like- you would take it. If tour players do it, why not?
