The low weight of the 65g shafts cause tempo issues for me, most tour level shafts are a bit heavy, most lightweight steel OK, but seem to hit too high. I really like the R11 heads, nothing else on the market really catches my eye (except for a few blades, but my game is not there for blades right now). but between the low weight and uncontrollable flight my current irons are nearly unplayable for me... Playing *2 flat makes finding used/new old stock R11 hard to find that fit, and they are tough to bend, so the right shaft would fit the bill, as new iron are seriously on hold.

I am at the range at least 5x a week, and try to play at least once a week (even if only a par3 course which uses all of the irons in my bag). I also get a few hours a day online that I can document my testing. This opportunity has the potential to salvage this season for me, and bring back my enjoyment of the game againSo if this new shaft fits the bill, this opportunity may be able to salvage this season for me, and bring back my enjoyment of the game again. Those that know me know that I don't sign n for every giveaway or test opportunity, I.e. to get free things to sell/trade, rather I only enter for chances on things I really could and would appreciate and use.

My dream shaft would be steel, in the 85-100g weight range, flighted similar trajectory as c-taper (and similar flex characteristics for an r or r+) above all. Having all that and a smooth feel like the Nippon 950 would be a bonus, as would a plating that could hold up to my ability to turn all metal I touch into rust. I will add, KBS shafts are my preference (have in my wedges, love the flight of the c-taper, and the weight feel of the tour 90 feels right to me-- I have also recently tried every shaft in the TM fitting cart, always gravitating to KBS).

Thank you for the opportunity to apply. As someone who has worked in R&D, I understand how these projects become a labor of love, and how exciting, yet scary a new release can be. I also know how risky it is to a company's reputation (but how valuable the feedback gained can be) to release a "beta" product for testing. If I am chosen, or not, I still wish your company the best of luck with this product. It's great seeing someone truly innovative doing things with steel again, in a world where steel shafts haven't changed much in 20 years.
