Is GolfUSA in manhattan, KS legit? (Merged)

GolfUSA is a company started here in Oklahoma. I have extensive experience with the brick and mortar stores in the okc metro area. They almost went out of business when Golfsmith came to town. So GS leases a building owned by the same property owner as GolfUSA leased their main building. Unfortunately for USA is that GS has a clause in their contract that forbids the property owner to lease to other golf stores. The property owner owns a large amount or rental properties in the area and is very influential therefore USA struggled to find a building at a fair price in a good location. Very shady in my opinion of GS but that’s business these days. The other stores in the area suffered for reasons I’m unaware of and shut down and they were left with the online store. They have since been able to open up another store in okc which is pretty nice. They have the best deals on used equipment. Their club repair is very good and fast and easy to work with unlike GG/GS. You can also haggle with them on used and sometimes used items. Very good company and highly recommended. They also used to have a “Moonlight Madness Sale” which is insane. Highly discounted prices on a large variety of items and equipment. You can load up on high end shoes and clothes, women’s and youth clubs as well. So keep your eye out for that at the local stores. It’s in the early spring or fall. Can’t remember exactly.

> Yep - this is correct. They gave a discount on the gift card. Took a few emails (or PMs - he was fairly active on this site for a time). That’s how I bought a set of Mizunos. But for some reason I think they stopped doing it. But don’t take that as fact - I’m not sure.

I think the WRX code is no longer working. I think I may have gotten a little greedy with my ordering, I went back tonight to try and order a U-500 3 iron and the code was not working. Oh, well, it was nice while it lasted.

Anyone have any insight on if this is for sure shutdown? I emailed them to see if there were any codes available like described above. Will share if I get anywhere. WRX is not working for gift cards or clubs.

I just received a set of MP-20 MMC a couple weeks ago I ordered from them. They’re a great company to order from - they contact you personally with order updates, tracking info, and any updates to the status. I also like that, while they pre-authorize your credit card when you order, they don’t actually bill your card until the item arrives. At least that’s been my experience when placing custom orders from them that ship directly from the manufacturer. Though I was introduced to them through their sponsorship and discount code here, they’ve cultivated a customer in me through my experiences with them since, with or without the WRX code. They’ve been as good, if not better, than any online retailer I’ve ordered from (which is A LOT). Add to it their killer online customization, and them and Discount Dans have become my first stops when shopping new clubs.

Just curious, has anyone ever reached out to them through email to ask for a quote? I’m curious if they may offer “better than advertised” prices if asked, like DD’s. If anyone’s currently shopping for something new give them a shout and let us know. Personally I’m far from ordering a new golf club. At least a couple weeks, lol.

I've been ordering from there for years, and the now owner, Cody Glidden, is amazing to work with. I highly, highly recommend them as a place to purchase your clubs!
