Any one else think that the Project X Pxv stiff flex plays too soft

In the standard version of the Callaway X-hot fairway's? I would think that it would be fine since I play 6.0 which is considered their stiff but it feels like a noodle and difficult to control. Anyone know what the frequency is?

The standard xhot has a made for pxv...that might be part of it.

That said, I have the xhp 15 degree with the 6.5 and it does seem softer than a diamana s+ x stiff I have in my 910f.

This has been said before and I'm sure a lot already know but Callway does not tip these shafts for fairway woods unless it is specified in the order. That alone will make it play maybe a 1/2 flex soft to begin with.

It's the weakest shaft I've played compared to it's stated flex. While other "stiff" shafts may not be optimal for my swing (versus X), this is the only stiff shaft I've played that I've completely overwhelmed. I hit an ugly hook with it, when my normal shot shape is a fade. My X-hot fairway is sitting in the closet until I can get the shaft replaced.

I used it for about 2 months and the results were mixed but overall it just played too "soft" for me ; lots of pulls and snap hooks. Just didn't like the feel and didn't feel too stable.

So, reshafted with an AXE tour fairway (black one). Much better.

Does this apply to the hybrids as well as the fairways? Or is it just the fairways that play so weak to flex?

It works well for me but it definitely is a "soft" stiff. For reference, I play a PX 7D3 (5.5) in my driver and the PXv feels similar.

I stated in another thread that my PXv 6.5 lasted roughly 12 range balls before I hit the eject button.
