I totally disagree with you. Technically you're right, but the truth is, he's "one of us" and I really enjoy reading this right here where he posts regularly.

Monte, great job and thanks for update. Always nice to hear how members and contributors are playing and improving. Not that T Made matters but I think it is instructive to know what you have been practicing (IE. no pull) is working and where you might see improvement. How was the pressure and how do you think you handled it or would in the future?

You are technically correct. This has nothing to do with instruction. It has to do with an instructor who gives a lot of free advice that some people in this forum appreciate.

But to the Older Brother rules are rules, especially when you don't like the guy who breaks them. I don't know why that is, but it's pretty obvious from this kind of petty insistence on the "right" forum. You're correct to point out the obvious, but you'll sleep better if you extend a little mercy every once in while. For the sake of those who like a guy you don't.

Regardless of the forum.. If a thread is not of interest to me, or I don't care for the OP, I'm just going to skip over it, and I'm definitely not going to waste my time posting in it, so take two extra seconds and scroll to the next thread. To my mind if one of our own instructors is competing in anything, Club pro event, long drive, even sblack5's threads on his tournaments, this is were they post, these are the people who know them. Threads like this are much less distracting when left alone than the supposed i"instructional threads" that you can't find anything in because of the trolls and 15 handicap pros.

I hit a ball 423 in mesquite last year in round two.

In rounds 1,2 and 5 this year I met 334, 354, 341. All three of those were hit harder with more speed than the 423 ball last year. I hit one 370 just out in the quarters that would have gone 450+ in the conditions the 423 ball was hit...it's all about the wind.

Jamie would have hit it 470 in the conditions I hit it 423 last year.

They should hold this thing in Washington DC. With all the hot air there, you guys would be hitting it 500+.
